Glenn Weldon of Norlina, has been named to the Dean's list al the New England Conserva tory of Music in Boston, Mass achusetts. Forty-four of the Conservatory's 236 under graduate students received this recognition for academic excellence during the first semester of 1962-63. Miss Weldon is enrolled in a program leading to the Bachelor of Music degree in Voice. In addition to her major study, Miss Weldon al so attends classes in other musical and academic sub jects. She graduated from Nor lina High School in 1956. Special Program To Be Held At Church Arrangements have been made for two foreign students and a professor from Louis burg College to give a spec ial program on Palm Sunday, April 7, at the Jerusalem Methodist Church in the Pas chall Community, the Kev D. F. Funderburk, pastor, an nounced yesterday. Beginning at 5:30 p. m. a picnic supper will be shared by those attending. Follow ing supper, the program will bo held in the sanctuary of the church under the leftder ship of the Commission of Missions of the church, Mrs. W. J. King, chairman. Miss Alicia Suares of Chile win play the guitar and ac cordion and will say a few wofds about Chile. Mist Myfanwy Ward of Aruba will tell something about her country. Professor William Wagner, who did his under graduate and graduate work at Mexico City College, will talk about Mexico. He will use most of the time and will be in a position to answer questions the group may raise, Mr. Funderburk said.
