Three witts and Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Threewitts returned this weekend from a trip to Nor folk. Va. Mrs. Maggie Atkins attend ed the funeral of Anthony Haislip in Roanoke Rapids on March 28 and then visited her sister in the Darlington community. George Carrawav and chil dren of Rocky Mount visited Mr and Mrs. Edwin Stans bury last week. Mrs. I,ouise Cooke and Mrs. Lewis Cooke visited Mr, and Mrs. Sterling Warren in the Darlington community on March 28. Mr. and Mrs. Turner Three witts returned home last weekend from visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Edmond son in Roanoke Rapids Mr. Threewitts has been recup erating from a sick spell in Roanoke Rapids Hospital. Andey May, Mrs. C. A. Jones, Mrs. Roger Moore, Mrs. Raymond Ward and Mrs. Alice Browning attended the funeral of John N. Jones in Scotland Neck on March 30. Mrs. Freddie Majors and son spent March 28 with her parents in Roanoke Rapids. Mrs. Viola Etheridge re turned home Sunday after spending several weeks in New Bern. Mrs. Helen Salmon spent Thursday with Mr .and Mrs. Roland Ferrell in Roanoke Rapids. Jerry Rhodes of Jackson ville visited Mr. and Mrs. Pal mer Aycock and Mr. and Mrs. MISS BARBARA JEAN CURL, whose engagement to Joe Sidney Fulmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fulmer of Sylva, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Curl of Littleton. The wedding is planned for June 23, at 4 p. m. in the Enterprise Baptist Church near Littleton. Miss Curl is a graduate of Woman's College, UNC, and is now teaching Math at Northeast Junior High School in High Point. Mr. Fulmer attended High Point College and is now Loan and Time Payment Manager of the Citizens Bank and Trust Company in Sylva. Luther Aycock on March 28. Justis Kidd of Hopewell, Va., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kidd. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Col lins, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wil liam? and Mr. and Mrs. Elma Shearin were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. John Pitt in Rocky Mount. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wood of Buies Creek visited Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Glenn Wood last week. Walter Crawley of Indus trial Center, Wilson, spent the weekend with his parents. Herman and Robert Riggan of Long Island, N. Y., and Harry Riggan of Henderson visited Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wagner on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Webb and children were weekend guests of relatives in Wilson and Greenville. They will spend this weekend in New Bern.
