Meek installed As President Of Warren County 4-H Council Oscar Long Meek was In stalled as president of the Warrer County 4-H Council at the annual Achievement Pro grann held at John Graham High School auditorium on Tliursday night of last week. Other officers installed were: Patricia Russell) vice president; Arlene Bender, secretary and treasurer; and Costel Evans, reporter. Mrs. William T. Skinner, ?I, former assistant home economics extension agent, was installation officer. Oscar Long CButch) Meek, president presided over the meeting. Following welcoming remarks by Butch, Costel Evans led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge. Patricia Russell gave the devotion, which was fol lowed by a song led by Carolyn Richardson. Special guests were recog nized by L. B. Hardage and G. W. Koonce. A roll call by clubs by Arlene Bender show ed approximately 200 people present. As an entertainment part of the program, the "Warrennettes" - Mattie Tunstall, Glenda Wright and Glannelli Tunstall - sang a special number. The Extension Agents, L. B. Hardage, Miss Emily Bal linger, Miss Dorothy Good wyn and G. W. Koonce, pre sented special awards to 4-H club members, leaders and friends of 4-H. County Project Awards were presented as follows: Claiborne Holtzman, County winner in Achievement (boy), Safety, Personal Appearance (bo v), Commercial Vege tables, Automotive and medals in Agriculture, Field Crops, Horse, and Home Beautification; Patricia Rus sell, County winner in Achievement (girl), Foods and Nutrition, Home Improve ment, Leadership (girl) and Entomology and Co-County winner in girl's Citizenship. Rites Fir Acddtnf Victiu Are Held At Sulphur Springs Funeral services for Ed ward Rodgers Munn, 38, were conducted from the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church of which he was a member, at 2:30 p. m. Saturday by the pastor, the Rev. J. m. Long, and the Rev. Robert Oates. Burial was In the Wise ceme tery. Mr. Munn died Instantly last Thursday afternoon of Injuries received while repairing a car at Munn's Esso Service Station on Franklin Street. He was working on a creep er under the car when the jack slipped and the car crush ed his head and face. He was an employee of the State High way and Public Works Com mission and was a member of the Elberon Rural Fire Department. He Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret StegaU Munn; a daughter, Sandra Munn of the home; his mother, Mrs. H. F. Munn; three brothers, RusseU Munn and Eugene Munn of Warrenton and Ervin Munn of Newport News, Va.; five sis ters, Mrs. Ervln Manning of Vaughan, Mrs. Price Moody of South Hill, Va., Mrs. W. B.
