Girl Scouts And Brownies Observe Scout Week Junior Girl Scout Troop 725 held a candlelight-rededi calion ceremony at the War renton Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon as a part of the celebration of the 55th anniversary of Girl Scouting in the United States. Each scout was given an opportunity to renew her Scout Promise and to review the 10 Scout Laws. Troop 725, sponsored by the Warrenton Woman's Club, is composed of five patrols and includes girls from the 4th, 5th and 6th grades, and four girls from Norlina. The current troop officers are: Troop secretary (Scribe), Catherine Blanken ship; treasurer, Susan Wilson. Golf Team Wins In First Play John Graham High School opened its 1967 season Mon day afternoon when they de feated the golf teams from Scotland Neck and Northern Nash in a tri-match at Scot land Neck Country Club. The Warrenton golfers were impressive in their first out ing of the year, Coach Jon Burwell said yesterday. They swept practically every match, with Joey Gilbert, Pettway Boyd and Phil Daniel leading the way. Burwell said that the next match would be at the John Graham Country Club next Monday afternoon, March 20, when they will host the North ern Nash team. The match will begin at 1 o'clock. Hospital Receives Funds From Duke Warren General Hospital has received a check for $1,376 from the Duke Endow ment, S. L. Harris, hospital administrator, said yester day. This compared with a do nation of $956 last year. The Funds were Warren General Hospital's share of appropriations of $578,655 to assist Carolinahospitals in fi nancing services to the needy sick. Thomas L. Perkins, chair man of the Duke Endowment trustees,.sald that appropria tions to hospitals are based on $1 a day for each day of free care in the fiscal year which ended Sept. 30, 1966.
