The purpose of bonding the fabric was to eliminate lining. Most literature says Johnson Funeral Is Held On Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. Leuvenia Coleman Johnson, who died on March 7, In Phil adelphia, Psu, were conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. at the Providence Christian Church by the Rev. Harold Timber lake. Burial was In the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Horace Johnson of Wise; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Hunt of Philadelphia, Pa., two sons, Willie Johnson of Wise and Robert Johnson of Norllna; and four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Perry and Mrs. Elvira King, both of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Edna Jones of Portsmouth, Va., and Mrs. Sallie Slxon of Cape Charles, Va. that It Is Dot necessary to line this fabric. The process of bonding has not been per fected, however, and seam stresses are finding that In straight skirts the seat Is stretching after only a short wearing time. To prevent this and to achieve a more pro fessional looking outfit, lin ing with a firm material Is recommended. Another time when you may want to line material Is when using light colored materials that you can Mi shadow Unas through, m tills esse, the entire garment Is usually lined. Q. Once permanent press fabrics become stained, the stain Is often difficult to remove. How should this fab ric be cared for? A. The manufacturers are diligently working to over come this quality of perman ent press fabrics. It Is very difficult and often Impossible to remove certain stains from this fabric. Wash garments frequently. They stay fresh looking during wear so there's a tendency to postpone laun dering. Once the fabrics be come heavily soiled or stained they won't clean easily. Gar ments are generally most suc cessful when laundered and tumble dried on t warm syn thetic setting. R Is wry ?" Important that garments be removed from the dryer as i soon as It stop* tumbling. \ After removing, shake gar- ? ment and hang on a hanger. Research Is now being done at the University of North Car olina at Greensboro on re moving stains from permanent press. As for now, try remov ing stains by using contem porary methods.
