Seniors Meted At orlina As tt Is the custom of' "Jun iors treat Seniors" at Nor Una High School, this year's Junior class presented a rc mantic new world of beauty to the graduating class this past Friday, May 12. Festivities were begun as the Seniors were Introduced at 8:30 by junior class presi dent George L. Perkinson. The .music was supplied by a top ranking group, "The Fabulous Kays," and the menu Included ham biscuits, cheesestraws, mints, cake squares, and lime punch. Throughout the evening, the nearly 200 attending guests were spellbound by their world of enchantment. The scenic motif was fairy?like with atmosphere, with such high lights as an exceedingly beau tiful evergreen lobby, an arbor near the entrance made up entirely of delicate flowers, and a handsomely arranged alcove, complete with lawn furniture, foliage, a bird bath, and, yes, even white doves! The more romantic couples made their wish over the crystal fountain, shimmering under a blue spotlight In its position at the center of the dance floor. This motif was accented with hundreds of dancing stars, starburst streamers, and a myriad of various colors from the table candles. These candles were take-home souvenirs, as were petite French poodle table de corations, and of course, the specially-arranged "Memory booklets." Thus, an unforgettable prom was presented under the ro mantic theme of "Moment to Moment!" AT WASHINGTON Members of the Norlina Senior Class left by chartered bus for Washington, D, C., on Wednesday morning, and 'will return to Norlina on Sat urday. The group was accom panied by Clint Hege, a mem ber of the faculty, and Mrs. Robert Satterwhlte, the moth er of one of the seniors.
