Mr. Weldon Hall of Wilson spent the weekend with Mrs. Josie Hall Montgomery. Miss Edwlna Rooker of Vir ginia Beach, Va., will spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rooker. Mr. and Mrs. Picot Frazier of Richmond, Va., were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Thompson and Mrs. H. P. Re id. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Boyce spent several days last week with relatives in Norfolk, Va. Birth Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bar tholomew announce the birth of a daughter, Tracy Lynn, on Oct. 10 in , B^ndertiurg, Calif., at Banderburg Air Force Base Hospital, Lampac, Calif. Mrs. Bartholomew is the former Miss Nancy Fletcher of Hen derson. MRS. JOHN MILAM ROSS, JR. Judith Carroll And lohn Al. Ross Wed The wedding of Miss Judith Gail Carroll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Carroll of Norllna, and John Milam Ross, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross of Macon, was solemnized on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12, at 3 o'clock in the Warren Plains Baptist Church. The Rev. Del be rt M. Burnett officiated. Music was rendered by Mrs. Glenn Weldon, organist, and Mr. Robert V. Allen of Warrenton, soloist. Mr. Allen sang "O Perfect Love," and the "Wed ding Prayer." The bride given In marriage by her brother, Ttobert " H. Carroll of Warrenton, wore a floor-length gown of bridal satin fashioned with long sleeves and circular neckline. Her elbow length veil of illusion fell from three roses. She car ried a corsage of white pom poms centered with an orchid. Miss Sharon Ayscue, niece of the bride, was her only attend ant. Her dress was of mint green, empire style and she wore a short matching veil which fell from a rose. Her flowers were bronze and gold mums tied with green ribbons. Pete Vaughan was the best man. Ushers were David Ross, brother of the groom, and Danny Ayscue, nephew of the bride. For a wedding trip to unan nounced points, the bride chang ed to a navy outfit with matching accessories, and wore the orchid lifted from her corsage. The bride is a graduate of Norllna High School. The groom graduated from John Graham High School and holds a position with Warren Cotton and Fertili zer Company. Mr. and Mrs. Ross will re side on Route 1, Macon. Cake-Cutting Following the rehearsal on Saturday night, Mrs. Robert V. Allen, Mrs. Sidney Burton and Mrs. Albert Lynch entertain ed at a cake-cutting In the social room of the church. The bride was presented a corsage of white carnations upon arrival. The refreshment table was MRS. RICKY EARL EDWARDS Miss Joyner Becomes Bride Of Mr. Edwards In a wedding ol charm and beauty solemnized at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church on Sun rtiy, Oct. 5, at 3 p. m. Miss Deborah Kay Joyner became the bride of Ricky Earl Edwards of Louisburg. The Rev. Charles Fulbrlght officiated, assisted by the Rev. Henry Johnson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Joyner of Route 2, Warrenton, and the groom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Edwards of Route 3, Louisburg. The bride was given In mar riage by her father. Mrs. Lynda Myrlck of Hen derson was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Judy and Cecilc Joyner, sisters of the bride, Mrs. Sandra Wil son of Route 2, Warrenton, and Mrs. Betsy May, cousin of the groom, of Route 3, Louis burg. Freddie Edwards of Route 3, Louisburg, was his broth er's best man. Ushers were covered with a yellow cloth overlaid with a white lace table cloth. The centerpiece was an arrangement of yellow and white chrysanthemums flanked by sil ver candlesticks bearing yellow candles. Punch was poured by Mrs. John Milam Ross, mother of the groom. The tiered wedding cake, topped by a miniature bride and groom, was served by Mrs. Robert V. Allen, after the bride and groom had cut the first slice. Cheese straws, nuts and mints were served. Mr. Roy Edwards, uncle of the groom, and Wayne Wilson, John Riiv Sturgpss The flower girl was Shery Wilson, daughter of Wayne Wil son, and the ringbearer was Dwlght Short, cousin of the bride and son of Mr. and Mrs. James Short of Route 2, War re nton. Reception A reception was held at the Warrenton Recreation Club with Mrs. E. L. Perry and Mrs. Walter Hundley of Norllna ser ving as hostesses. Following a wedding trip to the mountains, Mr. and Mrs. Edwards are makingtheir home on Route 2, Warrenton. The bride, the former "Miss Warren County," is now employed at the Peoples Bank Boydton UK Meets With Mrs. Baskervill Mrs. W. R. Baskervill en tertained the Boydton Chapter of the UDC of which she Is a charter member on Monday afternoon. Her home was deco rated with fall flowers. Mrs. Hattle Moseley, regent, presided over the meeting. Eleven attended from Boydton and South Hill, Va. and Trust Company in Norlina. The groom is a graduate of Gold Sand High School and at tends Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh. Following his graduation he hopes to be employed as an insurance ad juster.
