An especially convenient feature
of this house is the stor
age and utility room at the rear
of the carport. This room Is a
step away from the kitchen door
and is a good location for the
freezer and water healer.

Hechts Are Honored On
25th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hecht of
New Bern were honored on
their 25th wedding anniversary
Saturday evening, Oct. 3, In the
home of Mr. and Mrs. C. H.
Nau.
Arrangements of white mums
and wedding bells were used
throughout the home for decorations.
Upon arrival, the honorees
were presented a corsage and
boutonnlere.
Entertainment for the occasion
was a reading and
solo by Mrs. Dee Koontz. Mrs.
Carl Frehley, Mrs. Mina
Chandler and Mrs. C. H. Nau
also rendered a vocal selection.
The Rev. G. T. Naumann
gave a prayer.
Miss Karen Koontz and Steve
Robinson assisted in presenting
the gifts to the couple.
Mrs. Mina Chandler was also
remembered __ with a birthday
cake and gifts in honor of her
birthday.
The g'lests were invited into
the dining room, where the refreshment
table, covered with a
lace cloth, was centered with an
arrangement of white mums
with lighted tapers and wedding
bells. Mrs. George Bender,
made and served the beautiful
decorated three-tiered wedding
cake. Punch was poured by
Mrs. Carl Frehley. Mints, nuts,
cheese straws and cake squares
were also served. Assisting in
serving were Mrs. Sterling
Robinson, Mrs. Carl Hecht
and Mrs. Willie Heuweler.
Seven of the grooms sisters
attending were Mrs. C. H. Nau
and Mr. Nau, Mrs. Carl Frehley
and Mr. Frehley of New York,
Mrs. W1U16 Heuweler and Mr.
Heuweler of Ridge wood, N. J.,
Mrs. Mina Chandler, Mrs.
George Bender, Mrs. Annie

to attend due to sickness.

Community Club Meets
The Ridgeway Community
Club met Monday night at the
clubhouse with Mr. and Mrs.
Rodgers Holtzman and Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Dortch as hosts and
hostesses. Mr. Thurman
Schuster, vice president, presided
in the absence of the president.
The group decided to have a
Hallowe'en party on Hallowe'en
night.
The hostesses served sandwiches,
cake and soft drinks
during an evening of fellowship.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church met
Friday night at the Lutheran
Parish Hall with Mrs. J. M.
Bender as hostess.
The Rev. G. ,T. Naumann
opened the meeting with a
hymn, Bible reading and prayer
and then led in topic discussion
of Men of The Bible, the
subject being "The Man
Moses."
Mr. Richard Holtzman, Sr.,
presided over the business session
when the members repaired
the church hymnals, fixing
the covers and inserting
new pages where needed.
The hostess served openface
meat sandwiches, cakes,
soft drinks and candy.

Mr. L. M. Paschall, Sr., observed
his 75th birthday on
Sunday night when he was visited
by friends and relatives and
