UNC Holds Meeting At
Home Of Mrs. Lamm
The Warren County Chapter
of the United Daughters of the
Confederacy held its monthly
meeting at the home of Mrs.
V. T. Lamm on Wednesday
afternoon of last week with Mrs.
S. Douglas Duke as co-hostess.
Mrs. M. P. Powell,president,
opened the meeting with the
ritual and the Pledge to the
Flag. Reports from the secretary
and treasurer were given.
Mrs. W. R. Baskervlll gave a
report of the General Convention,
noting that Mrs. Alton Battle
of Wilson was elected
Registrar General at the General
Convention.

In a ceremony of beauty and
simplicity Miss Eleanor Ruth
Thompson of Warrenton and
Will lam bouis Fuller, jr., of
Afton were united In marrlafe
on Sunday afternoon, November
15, at four o'clock at the
Warren Plains Baptist church.
The Rev. Red W. Fuson, pastor
of the bride, officiated using the
double-ring ceremony.
The bride Is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. jerry Bryant
Thompson of Warrenton. The
groom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William Louis Fuller, Sr., of
Afton.
The ceremony was performed
before a background of five
oregon fern balls, centered with
a floral basket of mums, snap
dragons, and gladolias, four
candelabrum with cathedral
tapers.
Mr. Phillip Harris of Warrenton
presented a program of
ni^Hlal organ music. Miss Amy
K11 go re, of Warrenton, soloist,
sang "O Perfect Love" and
the "Wedding Prayer" as the
benediction.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floorlength
gown of antique bridal
satin fashioned with a rounded
neckline and long sleeves extending
to a point over the wrist
trimmed with tiny pearls. The
empire waist was accented with
two rows of lace. Her A-llne
skirt was softly pleated in the
back. Her floor length detachable
train was attached to the
shoulders and the edges of the
train were bordered with lace.
Her elbow length bouffant veil
was attached to a crown of lace
and pearls. Her Jewelry
consisted of an opal necklace
and diamond earrings, both gifts
from the groom. She carried a
nosegay of white carnations,
centered with a white orchid and
showered with white satin
ribbon and white feathered carnations.
Miss Anne Thompson, sister
of the bride of Warrenton, was
maid of honor. She wore a formal
length gown of moss green
crepe with a high neckline, an
empire waist with long sleeves
trimmed In Irish lace. Her Allne
skirt was accented with a
bow in the back. Her short veil

The historical program was
given by Mrs. H. F. Twitty.
Delicious refreshments were
served in the dining room by
the hostesses.

'Friends' Concert Blair

night.

church. After this, the couple
left for a wedding trip to unannounced
points. The bride

a green wool knit dress
with matching accessories and
the orchid lifted from her bouquet.
Mrs. Fuller graduated from
John Graham High School In
Warrenton and attended Hardbarger
Business College In Raleigh
and now holds a position
as bookkeeper at Warren Auto
Parts In Warrenton.
Mr. Fuller graduate^ from
John Graham High School In
Warrenton and is presently engaged
in farming. The couple
will make their home on Rt. 2,
Warrenton.

Lake.
After the project was completed,
