Mrs. Harris Hostess
To Kindergarten Class
Mrs. A. D. Harris entertained
members crf^her kindergarten
class and their mothers at
a Christmas party on Friday
afternoon with 28 persons attending.
The entire home was
gaily decorated in a Christmas
motif.
Gifts were exchanged from a
lovely tree and carols were
sung.
In the dining room the table
bore a Santa Claus cloth and a
holiday centerpiece flanked by
miniature Santas which were
later given the children with
snow men filled with salted
nuts. Small red lighted lamps
and lighted candles were used
with red berries on the table.
Delicious refreshments were
served.
The mothers were served
coffee, fruit cake, nuts and
cookies In the breakfast room.
Each mother received a picture
painted by the children.

palms, white chrysanthemums

music for the service. Mr.
Davis sang "One Hand, One
Heart" and at the conclusion
he sang "The Lord's Prayer."
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floorlength
gown of candlelight peau
de sole and French appliqued
lace. The bodice was fitted
to a modified empire effect,
featuring a scolloped Sabrina
neckline of French lace. The
long sleeves were accented with
appliques. The controlled skirt
was accented with sprays of
lace re-embroidered with
pearls. From the shoulder line
In the back fell a scolloped
laoe-bordered chapel train. Her
mantilla was of matching •
French lace. She carried a colonial
cluster bouquet of stephanotls
centered with a white
majestic orchid.

Nutty Fingers
1/2 c. butter
4 tbs. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. nuts
Add 2 tbs. water
Roll dough in finger lengths
and cook at 300 degrees F for
about 20 minutes. Roll In powdered
sugar while warm.
Cheese Sticks
1/2 c. butter
1/2 lb. grated cheese
2 c. sifted cake flour
Cream butter and add 1/2
lb. grated cheese and 2 c.
flour. Whip until well blended.
Bake slowly around 300 degrees
F for 15 to 20 minutes.
