Board Abandons Plans To Use 'School Days' For Library Plans to use "School Days," the former home of Mr. and Mrs. George G. Allen on Cousin Lucy's Lane for a library and to use the present Warren County Memorial Library for office space for the county were abandoned bv the Board of County Commissioners on Monday morning on account of the cost of renovating the building for library use. Dan Knight, architect, told the commissioners, that the cost of additional floor supports to support the weight of stacks of books would be very expensive. He said the cost would be increased because much of it would be performed in crawl space. To place the librarv in one part of the huilding would not give room for the more than 35.000 v olumes now in Warren County Memorial Librar\. However, the building will he used is headquarters for the Warren fount-. Historical \ssocuition and the WarrenCounty Historical Society, as requeued h\ the donors of the building in the county, plus •ddit ional office space.
