Real Estate Office Closes, Another To Open Monday The closing of one Warren County real estate office-ami * the opening of another was simultaneously announced this week. James T. Fleming, manager of E. C. Seaman's real estate office in Soul City for the past year, said that the SeamaVi operation m Sotrf City has been terminated. However, Fleming said, Seaman's local operations will be directed from the Henderson home office. Fleming said that he will open a real estate office i Fleming Realty—Monday in quarters on Main Street here previously occupied by Country Squire, Ltd. The office overlooks Main Street from the Gardner Building. Fleming Realty will be a full service real estate office and will feature several sevices that Warrenton does not currently have, the new owner said. In addition to a full listing service of homes, lots, lake and commercial property, the agency will feature property management, appraising, rentals and custom home building. Mr. Fleming, a member of the Kerr Lake Board of Realtors, is a former insurance agent serving Warren and Vance counties. He is at present vice president of the Vance, Granville, Franklin, Warren Association of Life Underwriters. He has served as cubmastcr oi rack 671 and is youth director of his church. He is married to the former Betty Rivers of Macon. They have two children, Darlene and Tasker. "I believe that Warren County will grow at a faster rate and that the need for services that I can provide will increase accordingly," he said. "I hope to expand into a full service home building contractor in order to provide many of the new homes that Warren County needs. Warren Selected To Receive Funds For SS Workshops Warren County has been selected as one of 16 counties in the northern Piedmont to receive a series of in-service workshops for social services personnel. The University of N. C. at Greensboro has received a grant of $27,020 to provide the workshops. The £rant came through the North Carolina Department of Human Resources until Title 20 of the Social Security Act. The grant covers the period from April 1 to September SO. The workshops will begin in late May and continue through the summer months. These thirteen members of Vance-Granville Community College's Practical Nursing Class received caps in recent ceremonies. County-Wide 4-H Training Workshop Planned Tonight By G. W.KOONCE Extension Agent, 4-H A county-wide 4-H Officer and Leader Training Workshop will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p. m. at the Mariam Boyd School in Warrenton. All officers and leaders of local 4-H clubs in the county are expected to attend. These include presidents, vice-presidents, secretary-treasurers, reporters, junior leaders and adult leaders. Five training sessions will be conducted at the workshop. These include presidents, vice-presidents and parliamentarians to be taught by Mr. A. M. Ward of Norlina; secretary-treasurers to be taught by Mr. Lucious Hawkins of Warrenton, reporters to be taught by Mrs. Mary Jordan of Warrenton and Mr. Lucious Hawkins; experienced lead ers to be taught by Miss Emily Ballingter and Mrs. Bertha B. Forte of the County Extension Office; and new leaders to be taught by G. W. Koonce and Glenn Woolard, 4-H Agents for Warren County. All 4-H'trs and leaders are asked to be present and on time.
