Last weekend Mrs. Fleming's guests were Mrs. John Morrison of Prince George, Va., Mrs. G. L. Gettings of Chester, Va., Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Stansbury of Richmond, Va., Howard M. Fleming of Colonial Heights, Va., and Mrs. Earl Haddock of Cary. Mrs. Myrtle Fleming spent several days last week in Chester and Richmond, Va., with relatives. Mrs. Imogene Arnold has left Duke Hospital and returned to her residence at Guardian Care of Louisburg. Mrs. Sudie Coleman of Norlina and Mrs. Charles Carde and son, Mark, of Kinston spent the weekend with the William E. Coleman family in Columbia, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ayscue of Epsom visited Mrs. Sudie Coleman Sunday night. Clubhouse Setting For Women's Meet The Woman's Club of Norlina met at the Clubhouse on May 4 with Mrs. L. 0. Robertson, president, presiding. Mrs. Alta Davis gave a devotion on Mother's love to open the meeting. Mrs. Eleanor Hayes, conservation chairman, introduced the program guest, Gordon Green, a representative of Carolina Power and Light. He presented an informative program on energy use, waste and conservation. Mrs. Hyla Stultz gave the history of the club which began in Norlina in 1926. Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Lou Traylor gave reports of their attendance at the 75th Annual Convention for the North Carolina Federation of Women's Clubs held in Winston-Salem in April. During the business session the members were reminded to continue to save old newspapers for the coming paper drive. Mrs. L. C. Davis and Mrs. William Brauer, hostesses, served strawberry pie, cheese straws, nuts and coffee to the 14 present. Mr. and Mrs. William Holt Fleming of Tifton, Ga., announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Betty Ann, to Bob Mark Moon, son of Mrs. William Moon and the late Rev. William Moon of Kodaikanal, India. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude J. Fleming of Warrenton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Newman of Norlina. The wedding will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Tifton, Ga., on June 25 at 2:30 in the afternoon. Miss Fleming is a senior at Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky. Mr. Moon was graduated from Asbury College and is presently a ministerial student at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding.
