Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, will be
married June 5 at the Macon United Methodist Church at
2 p. m.

Homecoming Set
At Inez Church
Inez Baptist Church will
observe its annual homecoming
services on June 12.
Revival services will begin
that evening at 8 p. m.
The Rev. Dudley Neal,
pastor of Brown's Baptist
Church, will be the guest
speaker for the homecoming
and revival services. The
morning worship service
will begin at 11 a. m. and a
homecoming dinner on the
grounds will follow the
service.
The revival services will
be held each night through
Wednesday. Special music
will be rendered each night.
The Rev. M. C. Swicegood,
pastor, extends an
invitation to the public to
attend these services.

Parham Hospital. Mrs.

students of Mrs. Eileen Dudley on display here the month
of May.
NEW ART EXHIBIT of painting and sculpture to be on
display the month of June, donated by the Rev. Dennis
Levin. Original CHINESE ART. Mr. Levin spent some
time in China.
It is our hope that these art exhibits in here, as well as
those shown in the Town Hall through the Warrenton Arts
Commission, will make you want to load up the car and
visit our wonderful Museum of Art in Raleigh.
Remember, we were the first state to have its own art
museum. While there you can visit the other museums.

Warren Plaza Activities Listed

On Saturday, May 21,
several residents from Warren
Plaza joined the
residents from Pleasant Hill
Rest Home in Roanoke
Rapids on a bus triD and
picnic to Lake Gaston. Many
residents enjoyed t*e fresh
air and sunshine and some
went wading and swimming.
Other activities were
hampered this week, such
as working outside in the
garden and yard, due to the
rain we had, but it was a
much needed rain and will
be a great help to the
gardens and crops.
Friday night was movie
night again. The residents at
the Plaza enjoyed a movie,
"For The Love of Fred."
Popcorn and Kool-aid were
served as refreshments.
There will be a bus trip on
Saturday to Pleasant Hill
Rest Home to show movies.
We are glad to announce
that one of our residents is
well and home from the
hospital. Mr. Joe Jones
returned to the Plaza this
week from Warren General.
Joe wishes to express his

are presently engaged in a
new training program that
was started by the owners,
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eakes
from Wilmington. The program
will be a great benefit
to the employees and
residents. The program is
designed so that each
employee will be in charge
of a certain number of
residents. This will insure
that each one gets more
personal attention. The idea
is to make Warren Plaza not
a place to stay, but a home.

Club Officers Are Installed
The May meeting of the
Macon Woman's Club was a
dinner meeting held at The
Rafters Steak House on
Tuesday night, May 17.
Mrs. L. R. Harris, club
president, welcomed the
guests, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Copley, Mr. and
Mrs. John Milam Ross* Mrs.
W. L. Reid and husbands of
the members.
Mrs. G. W. King gave
some interesting highlights
of the Woman's Club
Convention held at WinstonSalem.
Then Mrs. King, who is
District 14 President, installed
the following officers
for the coming year:
Mrs. W. L. Reid, president;
Mrs. W. E. Loyd, vicepresident;
Mrs. J. H.
Stegall, recording secretary;
Mrs. H. S. King,
corresponding secretary
and reporter; Mrs. G. J.

Mrs. King said, "As you
see them (the officers)
standing, shoulder to
shoulder, so they will be
working. They are not the
ones to set the policies, but
they will help carry them
out with your (the members)
help."
Mrs. Harris then thanked
the club for their cooperation
during her years of
being president and told
Mrs. Reid she could depend
on members for good
assistance while she was
president.
Mrs. H. M. Fuller thanked
Mrs. Harris on behalf of the
club for her good leadership
and presented her with a gift
of silver from the club.

American Legion
Auxiliary To Meet
The American Legion
Auxiliary will meet in the
home of Mrs. Marie Andrews
with Mrs. Anna
Fuller as co-hostess on

p. m.
