49 Cases Continued In District Court Over 100 cases were scheduled for Warren County District Court during Friday's mixed session. Judge Ben U. Allen of Henderson granted continuances in 49 cases. Traffic violations and possession of non-taxpaid liquor cases were part of the lengthy docket. Cases disposed of were as follows: Juan Alva, speeding 80 in 55 mph zone, found guilty of speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, fined $50 and court costs. H. B. Blackwell, assault on female, prayer for judgment continued upon payment of court costs. Dorothy Boone Booth, fraudulent misrepresentation, voluntary dismissal. Bobby W. Branch, worthless check, pay amount of check and court costs. Willie Campbell, exceeding safe speed, not guilty. Kenneth T. Carter, improper passing, not guilty. Darnell Champ, using profane language, called and failed. Ordered arrested for appearance on August 5 with bond set at $250. Robert Champ, using profane language and simple assault, called and failed. Ordered arrested for appearance on August 5 with bond set at $250 on each charge. Laverne Cheek, worthless check, voluntary dismissal. Jerry Page Davis, speeding 68 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Ordered arrested for appearance on August 5 with bond set at $100. Kenneth Douglas Davis, speeding 69 in 55 mph zone, fined $10 and court costs. Albert Leroy Demmer, improper motorboat registration, court costs. Douglas Lee Eanes, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, found guilty of speeding 60 in 55 mph zone, fined $10 and court costs. Johnny Ray Francis, assault on female, ordered to jail for six months, suspended for one year on the condition that he live with his wife and that he support his wife and child. Barbara Anrt Garrfas, speeding 77 in 55 mph zone, found guilty of speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, fined $35 and court costs. Timothy Green, speeding 78 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. Ordered arrested for appearance on August 5 with bond set at $100. Harvey B. Harris, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, found guilty of improper equipment, court costs. Hattie Henderson, possession of non-taxpaid liquor for sale and possession of non-taxpaid liquor, voluntary dismissal on both charges. Henry Henaerson, possession of non-taxpaid liquor for sale, possession of nontaxpaid liquor, assault on law enforcement officer, ordered to jail for two years suspended for two years on the condition that he not be found guilty of any crime, fined $300 and court costs and pay $175 to the Warren County Sheriff's Department for their undercover fund. Otis Henderson, assault with deadly weapon, fined $25 and court costs. Spencer Henderson, Sr., allowing motor vehicle operation without proper insurance and inspection, not guilty. Irving L. Howell, nonsupport, ordered to jail for six months, suspended for three years on the condition that he pay into the office of Clerk of Superior Court $25 each week and court costs. Thomas J. Johnson, driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and no operator's license, called and failed. Ordered arrested for appearance on August 5 with bond set at $500. Thomas J. Willie Lee Hyman, possession of non-taxpaid liquor, and possession of nontaxpaid liquor for sale, fined $50 and court costs. Emma Lee Hyman, possession of nontaxpaid liquor, court costs. On charges of possession of non-taxpaid liquor for sale, found not guilty.
