Dr. Thomas Holt, with his daughter, Helen and son, Edmond, went to Alaska to join Frank Holt, who has been to summer school in Fairbanks. They spent a week touring and backpacking in Alaska and Frank accompanied them home Mrs. Witty Drake of Macon has returned from New York where she visited her family. The bride is a graduate of Appalachian State University and is employed at the Fletcher Medical Center. Miss McKissick And Mr. Gunn Are Wed Miss Stephanie Charmaine McKissick and Milton Pervis Gunn exchanged nuptial vows Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at Union Baptist Church in Durham. Officiating the ceremony were Reverend Grady D. Davis, Sr., and Rev. Thurman Hairston. Parents of the bride are Attorney and Mrs. Floyd B. McKissick, Sr., of 2 Liberation Road, Soul City. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the bride received a degree in radio-television sin of the bride of Asheville. Reception After the wedding, the couple was entertained at a reception at the home of the bride. Hostesses for the affair were Joycelyn McKissick Myers, sister of the bride and Sandra Michelle Groom, both of Soul City; Andree McKissick Julian, sister of the bride of Silver Spring, Md.; Linda N. Gunn, sister of the groom and Felicia L. Goins, both of Washington, D. C.; and Agnes Richardson Smith, of Henderson. and motion pictures. She will attend the graduate school of Speech Communication at Northern Illinois University specializing in TV production in the fall. Mrs. Gunn was registrar of the Nutbush Precinct in Warren County and founder and director of the S. Charmaine School of Dance in Soul City. She is employed at Carmichael and Company Advertising and Marketing, Inc. Son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Gunn, 1005 Gillette Avenue, Durham, the groom was also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a degree in Biology. He is a member of the Order of the Grail, student marshall and member of the University Concert Band. He is presently working on his master's in public health nutrition and plans to attend medical school. For the occasion, Grover Wilson, Jr., served as organist and Mrs. Deborah Craig Ray was soloist. The bride was presented in marriage by her father. She wore a floor-length gown with a watteau chapel train of silk chiffon and imported beaded Alencon lace. A chapel-length mantilla of silk illusion bordered with imported French Alencon lace motifs was attached to her headpiece of matching lace encrusted with crystals and seed pearls. She carried an orchid surrounded by carnations. Ms. Psyche D. Davis, of Raleigh was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. LiAnndra Groom, Ms. Audrey _ Kearney, and Ms. Wanda Thompson, and Ms. Shaunielle S. Plummer, all of Soul City; Ms. Monika Gunn, sister of the groom, and Ms. Valiere Wynne, both of Durham; Mrs. Juana Jordan Jones, of Goldsboro; and Ms. Arlene Franklin, of New York. Junior bridesmaids were Ms. Pamela Jordan, of Henderson, and Julia Groom, of Soul City. The groom's father was best man. Other groomsmen were Grady D. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Russell, III, of Rt. 1, Manson. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Nicholas of Bronx, N. Y. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of silk organza. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The couple will live in the Marine Barracks at the Yorktown (Va.) Naval Station. Communion Planned The Rev. Odell Harris, former Warren County resident, will celebrate holy communion at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Warrenton on Sunday, August 14, at 11 a. m.
