They visited here on Friday. Miss Sandra Jones has returned to Charlottesville, Va., after visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs Duke Jones, for some time. Dr. and Mrs T I Anderson of Trenton, Mich, and Ms. Cynthia Townsend and daughter, Brooke, of Raleigh spent last week with Mrs Blanche Frazier and Burnette Frazier of Warren Plains. Miss Mary Lizzie Davis of Hillhaven Rest Home in Durham spent two days last week at the Frazier home. She was an employee of the Frazier's for over 50 years. Dorothy Mae Tucker Weds Littleton Man DRAKES BRANCH, VA. -The marriage of Miss Dorothv Fave Tucker, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Otis Ottway Tucker, Jr., of Drakes Branch, Va., to Julian Brantley Acree, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brantley Acree of Littleton. took place Saturday, August 13. at half after five o'clock in the afternoon at Johns Memorial Church in Farmville, Va. The guests were greeted by the mistress of ceremonies, Mrs T G. Elder of Keysville, Va. The candlelight, doublering ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward M. Spruill, pastor of the bride. The couple exchanged their vows before an altar flanked by palms and candelabra. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, was given in marriage by her mother and father. She wore a formal wedding gown of white chantilly lace and a fulliength veil of illusion edged in lace fell from a headpiece of Chantilly lace. H., Va., and Miss Lisa Pettus of Drakes Branch Their gowns were green and made identical to that of the honor attendant and their bouquets were also identical. Flower girl was Miss Elizabeth Anne Moore, niece of the groom. Mr. Acree served his son as best man. Groomsmen were T. G. Elder of Keysville, Va., D. W. Daniel of Richmond, Va., and Rod MacNeill of Hamilton. Ushers were Otis Ottway Tucker, III, and Walter David Tucker, brothers of the bride, both of Drakes Branch. Reception Immediately following the ceremony a reception was given by the bride's parents in the Gold Room, Lankford Building, Longwood College in Farmville, Va. Miss Cora Beth Jackson of Manteo presided at the guest registry. The wedding cake was decor-ted with a live hi-^ juet of flowers matching the bride's bouquet. Following the traditional cake cutting by the bride and groom, the wedding cake was served by Miss Debra Trent of Red Oak, Va., and Miss Debra Tucker of Drakes Branch. Mrs. Stephen McLaughlin of Victoria, Va., presided Miss Joyner To Wed W. E. Harris Mr. and Mrs. John A. Joyner of Rt. 2, Warrenton announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Judy Huntley, to William Eldward Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allen Harris, Jr., of Macon. An outdoor wedding is planned for August 27 at noon at Laurel Mill near Louisburg. All friends and relatives are invited. at the punch bowl. Miss Robin Thomas of Palmyra, Va., distributed the rice bags. After a wedding trip to Nag's Head, the couple will make their home in Blacksburg, Va. Shower On July 9, Miss Tucker was entertained at a miscellaneous floating shower given by Mrs. Gayle Boliek, Miss Deborah Kearney, Miss Sherry Barnes, and Miss Sharon Bryant in the home of Mrs. Harland S. White in Keysville, Va. The brideelect received many nice gifts. Barbecue Gaston Lake was the setting of a barbecue given by Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Daniel of Richmond, Va., for Miss Tucker and Mr. Acree. Those attending enjoyed a day of skiing following by a delicious barbecue dinner. The couple was presented a pig-shaped cutting board by the host and hostess. Barbecue On July 30, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Held, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Franklin, Otis Franklin and Mrs. Carol Poulios, all of Richmond, entertained the bridal couple at their home in Drakes Branch with a chicken and pork barbecue. The hosts and hostesses presented the couple with a place setting in their china pattern. Shower On August 3, Mrs. Garland Hamlet, Mrs. Lynnwood Scruggs and Mrs. Joe B. Cole entertained the bride-elect with a floating linen and bath shower at the Drakes Branch Woman's Club. Miss Tucker received many lovely gifts. Cocktail Party On August 6, Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Elder entertained Miss Tucker and Mr. Acree with a cocktail party at the Charlotte Country Club. Delicious hors d'oeurves were served and the couple received a serving piece in their silver pattern. Luncheon The bridesmaids luncheon was given for Miss Tucker on August 10 by Mrs. W. Harold Pettus, Jr., of Drakes Branch. The bride-elect was presented a white bridal corsage. After the luncheon, Miss Tucker presented gifts to her attendants. Dinner On August 12, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brantley Acree, Sr., parents of the groom, entertained the wedding party and their guests with a dinner at the Hotel Weyenoke in Farmville, Va. Pendleton Philathea Class of the Warrenton Baptist Church at a meeting held in the home of Mrs. Davis on August 9 at 8 p. m. Mrs. L. O. Robertson was elected first vice-president; Miss Mary Frances Rod well, second vice-president; Mrs. E. R. Wood, third vice-president; Mrs. C. V. Robertson, served a sweet course with cheese straws to the 14 members and one visitor present. GRADUATES Mrs. Josephine Pinnell House of Danville, Va., graduated this week from Ridford College. The Warren County native received her master's degree in secondary administration and supervision. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Pinnell of Warrenton, Rt. 2. Miss Mills Weds Mr. Boucher Miss Joyce Ella Mills and Leo Boucher were united in marriage on Saturday, August 6, at 12 noon at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Philadelphia, Pa. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Vane 11a Mills and the late Jesse Mills of Philadelphia, Pa. Mr. Boucher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boucher of Philadelphia, Pa. Prior to the ceremony a program of nuptial music was presented by Miss Gloria Lemmon, organist and soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Raleigh Lynch, wore a gown of white satin featuring peaudange lace with a chapel train. Her veil was of silk illusion and matching lace and she carried a bouquet of white daisies and baby's breath. Miss Susan Wright of Pine Hill, N. J., was maid of honor. She wore a yellow gown with a matching floral cape and carried a bouquet of summer flowers. Bridesmaids, were Juanita Mills, sister of the bride. Miss Meritza Torres and Marsha Hall, all of Philadelphia, Pa. Their gowns were identical to that of the honor attendant in pastel colors. Misses Chenoa Richardson and Heather Brayboy of Warrenton were flower girls. They wore pink dresses with matching floral capes. Bradley Lynch and Christopher Hall were ringbearers. Their pillows were deigned by the bride. Joey Connolly was best man Groomsmen were Robin Mills, brother of the bride, Joel Wright and Stanley Lynch. The wedding guests celebrated Holy Communion after the ceremony. The groomsmen and Dalton Lynch of Warrenton helped with the communion. Mrs. Lizzella Wright of Pine Hill, N. J., and Mrs Barbara Brayboy of Warrenton directed the wedding. Following the ceremony, the bride's mother entertained at a reception at the Darby Fire Hall. A yellow and white color scheme was used throughout the ballroom. Guests were greeted by Mrs. Claudese Lynch and Mrs. Gloria Lynch, aunts of the bride. After a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains, the couple will reside in west Philadelphia. Out-of-town guests at tending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Luther R. Lynch, Bradley and Shane, Mrs. Lorretta Richardson, Lynn and Zelda, and Mrs Inez Lynch, all of Hollister; Mrs. Barbara Brayboy, Jennifer, Heather and Natalie, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Richardson and Chenoa and Dal ton Lynch, all of Warrenton. Vistors Mr and Mrs. Robert Baskervill of New Bern and Miss Jane Baskervill of Raleigh visiled Mrs W. R. Baskervill Sunday and Monday. Mrs. W. R.
