Eleven years ago on a warm October day There was a man killed to our dismay. There were few at the scene And they all agreed That this was a tragic accident Which none could foresee. Living only a few hours that night, The news traveled fast Robert Shearin has died His working days are over at last. Oh how we miss you daddy As each day goes by So we are look forward To the meeting in the sky. Then you may see Our children which brought us joy For I gave you a little girl And Faye gave a precious boy. ByKAYES. KING In memory of my son, Gene Edenbeck Son; "We've missed you since " you've gone We miss you each minute as the days go by But, son, some day we will be with you forever, To never say goodbye. Friends and loved ones they are so dear But they will never take the place of you being here. But some day when the roll is called, I'll be there with you and the Saints so dear. Tarheel friends they loved you so dear They often wonder why you couldn't stay Here. ByODAS. LEE In memory of our loving mother, Mary J. Moss, who departed this life Oct. 13, 1976 at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 5 days. We are so thankful to the good Lord for letting mother live with us so long, still we hated to see her go. We will ne*rer forget her and all the love and joy she brought to us and every one she met. We realize she was tired and ready to go, but she didn't go alone. Apart of us went with her the night God called her home. In our hearts she'll never die, she will only be asleep in Jesus. Your daughter, CARRIE J. WILLIAMS And The Other Children Blubs Can Be Planted In October Remember those big daffodils and the rainbow of tulips you admired in your neighbor's yard last spring. Now is the time to do something about it. September and October are ideal months to plant bulbs, according to North Carolina State University agricultural extension horticulturists. The types include daffodils, tulips, lilies, hyacinth, narcissus and Dutch iris. The NCSU specialists suggest that you choose the ground that will grow good flowers from bulbs and prepare the soil well. Most Agricultural Extension Service offices have a leaflet, "Growing Tulips," that will provide instructions on planting tulip bulbs. A ton of steel can be drawn into more than 10 miles of wire.
