C. 27514. TODAY'S LIFE-STYLE calls for a home decorating style that's easy care and casual. There's good news for people who like to keep up-to-date in both style and savings. The trend today in home decor is inexpensive, casual and easy-care. This means that small changes, such as mood light ing and a few plants, may make all the difference in your home. If you're inter ested in more, you'll prob ably be pleased to know that today's casual furniture is multi-functional, takes less space, less money and less time for cleaning than in the past According to one decorat ing expert, Dave Farrar, na tional home furnishings co ordinator for Montgomery Ward, today's home atmosphere satisfies the individual tastes of the persons living in that atmos phere. Now that more peo ple are entertaining at home, homes are becoming more entertaining, and pop ular pieces include lots of earthtone colors and ex posed wood surfaces. Fab rics are often of natural fibers and in natural colors. Modular pit groups are particularly popular. They can serve as sofas, sleeping units and relaxation areas for casual conversation. Wall units become bookshelves, bars, desks and storage areas all at the same time. In the bedroom, casual furnishings may take a ro mantic turn through the use of batik-like floral prints, a bed dressed with com forters, wicker furniture and hardy indoor-outdoor car peting in earth colors. All this helps a home have an unrestricted, easy-to relax-in atmosphere that's both warm and welcoming.
