After partaking of a Colonial Lodge Party Is Given Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ormsby gave a party for the residents of Colonial Lodge last Friday evening. Pike is a native of Littleton. Retiring Lawmaker Is Honored Congressman L. H. Fountain was honored recently by The North Carolina Democratic Club of Washington, O. C. At the gala reception, which was held on Capitol Hill in the Merchant Marine Committee Blue Room, Congressman Fountain was praised by a number of spokesmen for his 30 years of outstanding service to the people of North Carolina's Second District, the state and the nation. Bob Canavan, president of the club, presented Congressman Fountain with a lovely pictorial book of Washington on behalf of The North Carolina Democratic Club. In attendance at the reception - which drew the largest crowd in years - were several prominent North Carolinians and others from government and from the private sector. Congressman Charlie Whitley of North Carolina and Congressman Jack Brooks, chairman of the important House Committee Government Operations, spoke in praise of Congressman Fountain's distinguished career of public service.
