I would like to say—Through this paper—for the benefit of some one who would like to live in a good farm ing section another year that around ■ Union Chapel and surrounding com ! munity is fine farming land. Seldom, if ever fails to produce good crops !if we do our part. A fine community Jto live in. A good Sunday gchool and church, a good pastor and convenient to get to. As it is in th entr from Wakfild and Hopkins Chapel school trucks run by nearly every home, go -1 ing to one of the best schools in the state, Wakelon. We invhe a lot of good people to trove in our neighborhood another year and join with us in Sunday school and church work as well as • farming. W should all be more inter -1 ested in the work of Soul Salvation than the comforts and pleasures of this life. “But geek ye first the kingdom of ’ God and His righteousness; and all > these things shall be added unto you.” i FOWLERS BRIDGE 1 The tobacco crops in our commu nity are about as good as could be [ expected, considering the dry spells ■ they have undergone. POTATOES LEFT IN FIELD; NO MARKET —o — Currituck, —With the bottom reach ed in prices for sweet potatoes, far mers in this section are leaving their potatoes lying in the fields to avoid the expense of digging and market ing. Until last week growers had been offered approximately a dollar a barrel for sweets. Now that the bot tom has fallen out of the market, farmers accept anything offered when they bring their potatoes to the mar ket. Most of the dealers say they cannot handle any more shipments at present.
