Two HOPKINS CHAPEL The W. M. S. meeting was last Saturday night instead of tomor row night. This delay of publish ing the news was caused by no mail delivery July 4. We were so glad to have Mrs. Burke from Wyandotte, Michigan, and Mrs. Harvey Watkins from Raleigh, visit our Sunday School Sunday. Much sympathy to Mrs. Mar shal Perry and Mrs. Roy Perry since the death of their uncle, Mr. Raymond Strother, last week. This same sympathy is extended to all the other kindred. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hodge and Mrs. Burke are spending some time with the Charlie Hodges. The Y. W. A. met Tuesday night with Betty Ann Baker with 14 members and one visitor present. The counselors, Mickey Hopkins and Carrie Martin were present also. After the program, ice cream and cookies were served. On the list of those who are sick are: Brenda Privette, Virginia Combs, L. A. Perry, Claude Jack son, Mrs. Zane Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gay and Aubrey went to Mount Vernon, Washington, D. C., and to Luray Caverns and Natural Bridge last week. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Massey of Goldsboro visited the Graham Finches Sunday. Congratulations to the newly weds, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Perry. They returned Monday from Wil liamsburg, Va. The Junior Class of Hopkins Sunday School is going to have a wiener roast Saturday afternoon, July 14, at Mitchell’s Mill. All who want to go will meet at the church at 3:30 Saturday afternoon if they don’t have away to go. All chil dren of junior age are urged to go. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cole visited Mrs. Ralph Mitchell Sunday. Mr. Luther Ray of Rockville, Md., visited relatives here last weekend. Sherman Pearce and W. M. Pearce visited Mr. Edd Baker Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Horton and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Horton vis ited the F. C. Hortons Sunday. Maylon and Durwood Baker, Robert and Carlton Blackley, Bob by Doyle, J. C. Perry, and Donald Fowler went to Myrtle Beach, S. C., last weekend. Rev. and Mrs. Fred Crisp and family are visiting relatives in Gastonia this week. Barbee Bunn of Raleigh visited Mrs. Iris Temple Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Killion and family of Houston, Texas, will be visiting relatives in this commun ity the first two weeks in August. Mrs. Killion was formerly Miss Dahlia Bunn of this community. The Y. W. A. had a chicken bar becue at Russell’s Place Saturday afternoon. There were 16 girls present. Mike McKagan is spending the week at Carl Baker’s. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ragan and Otis Baker of Durham visited The Zebulon Record the O. J. Bakers and Mrs. Iris Temple Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hamlet of Littleton visited the J. O. Pearces Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie High of Corinth visited them Tuesday. The Hopkins choir will have choir practice Friday night at church. Rose and Faye Temple spent Saturday night at Joseph Tem ple’s in Zebulon. The Lovie Perry Bible Class will meet Friday night at Mr c .
