The weeds, grass, bushes and other vegeta tion is growing very fast and shows much neglect. Pass the word on to others and soon there will be enough to do the work in just a short time. Evans of Fort Meade, Pardon us if we play switch man with a familiar railroad phrase, but we aim to flag down some certain people... Those folks whoVe always had a great big yen for a new Buick, but a big worry that Buick prices ran too high for their budgets. Now we’ll have to grant you that —on style and beauty and size and impressive appearance —a 1951 Buick looks like a pretty high price tag. And we’ll have to grant, too, that the zooming power and the luxu rious ride and the heavyweight steadiness you get in a Buick would also indicate prices beyond the reach of most people. But honestly, could anything be farther from the truth when you note the sample prices for 1951 Buicks in the panel yonder? Md., was a guest of Miss Josephine Gay during the weekend. He is very fortunate in getting home every weekend to visit relatives and friends. Miss Crettie Parrish was a guest of Miss Bettie Hinnant Wednes day of last week. Miss Peggy Mitchell of Wendell was a visitor of Miss Millie Fuller Saturday p. m. for a short while. Mr. James Strickland and Mr. Graham Parrish visited with them also. Recently 1 received a letter from a niece, Mrs. Thelma Keeton of Oakland City, Lndiana, formerly of Somerville, Indiana, saying how much she enjoyed the Zebulon Rec ord, especially Mrs. Theo. B. Da vis’ column “This That and the Other.” She said that often she had thought of writing and com plimenting Mrs. Davis on such good write-ups. This is only just one of many who are in other states and far away from home who really enjoy the Record. Some of our boys in service get the paper and often mention the joy it brings. If you have some loved one away they would surely cherish a home town paper. Why not send it to them as a gift of last ing enjoyment? Mr. Oris Rhodes’ loss of one monkey was his gain of another one. After the first was killed he decided that he wanted another so he purchased a black one this time. We hope he has good luck in keeping it. —Polly Fuller INSURANCE on TOBACCO in the curing barn and in the pack house covered under one policy until December 31 for $1.25 per SIOO See D. D. Won’t you admit here and now that you can have Buick room and comfort, can have Buick ride and handling, can have Buick style and size—for little, if any, more than you’ve been paying for lesser cars?
