V. P. Locke, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, corner of Fayetteville and South Sts., in Ral eigh has written letters to mem bers of Hephzibah Church concern ing the coming revival from Sep tember 2nd through September Bth. He will hold the services each evening and plans to use these subjects from night to night: Sept. 2nd, Sunday night, “Seven Ques tions;” Sept. 3rd, Monday night, “What Think Ye of Christ?”; Sept. 4th, Tuesday night, “What Have I Done;?” Sept. sth, Wednes day night, “Jesus Calls Us;” Sept. 6, Thursday night, “Behold The Lamb of God;” Sept. 7th, Friday night, “Let Jesus Lead, He Knows the Way;” Sept Bth, Saturday night, “The Master Is Come and Calleth For Thee.” This gi’eat min ister has asked all to pray for this revival meeting and make every effort to come and bring others. Here are some facts con cerning happenings during the night services through the week. Chalk talks every night for chil dren up to 17 years of age. All sermons are 20 minutes'in length, no more or less. Thursday night is young peoples night, a gift to the youngest couple. Friday night is old folks night, a gift to the oldest couple. Saturday night is family night, a gift to the largest family present. Plan to attend this revival. God is concerned. We are concerned. Rev. Locke asks of all Hephzibah people their fullest co operation in this great effort to lift up Christ in these series of meetings. Remember the time is at 8:00 each evening. They will be voted up later. Mr. Connie Mack Mincey’s broken leg is improving. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Privette were Mr. and Mrs. Carey Pearce of Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Phillips, Mrs. Lois Clarke and daughter, Freddie, Mrs. Christine Lilies and daughter, Phillis of Zebulon, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Privette of Wendell, and Mr. and Mrs. Lennie Liles. Mrs. Ora Lee Alford and daugh ter, Ann, accompanied Mrs. W. E. Fuller and Millie to visit Mrs. C. E. Perry near Rolesville Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Page McGhee and son and Mr. Charlie McGhee of Franklinton called on the E. B. I arrishs and M. B. Alfords Sun day Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Witaker and son of Raleigh visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Whita ker Sunday. Mr. John Ashley Hinnant ac companied his sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Horton and Miss Joyce Hor ton to the Mountains of N. C., for the weekend. Places they visited were Blue Ridge Mts., Black Mountain Cherokee, the Biltmore Estate, and Asheville, N. C. A bit of the history of this estate is that it took five years for 400 men to build the Biltmore House and gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Gay and Bill of Archer Lodge spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Gay and family. Other visitors during the day were Mr. James Gay, Misses Betty Hinnant and Janice Strick land and Pvt. J. C. Evans. Congratulations to Miss Shirley Gay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Si las Gay of near Rolesville, and Mr. Jodie Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Wood of this section, who were married Saturday in South Carolina. Best wishes to them for a long, happy life together. Mr. W. E. Fuller is receiving treatments from the doctor for poi son about the face and eyes. Mrs. Harvey Hocutt is receiving doctors care and is still not able to do much work. Mrs. W. E. Fuller has been un der the doctors care for several weeks but is improved at this time. Mr. Ivan Gay, Jr., and Mr. Wa verly Horton returned from Cana da Monday. They were very glad to be back again. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood and Jean of Raleigh visited his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Wood during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. John Starnes had some of their children with them for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fuller and Millie called on the Billy Gays of Archer Lodge a short while Saturday night. Mr. Sexton Alford of the Tab ernacle section, Mr. Herbert Al ford and Mr. Robert Martin of DANCING Classes are now being formed for the fall term. Classes begin on September 20. Pre-school child ren register at my home by September 17. School children register at school on September 17. Mrs. H. C. Wade Wendell called on Mr. M. B. Al ford Sunday afternoon. Mr. John Ashley Hinnant start ed working with Colonial Stores in Raleigh Monday. Most farmers can breath a long sigh now that they see the light of day again after six or eight long weeks of hard work barning to bacco.
