Two CORINTH Christmas program Held; G.A/s Have Meeting on Monday Miss Shelby Fowler (Too late for last week) Attendance at Sunday School last Sunday was 166. The Christmas Program was presented Wednesday night in the church. Fruit, nuts and candy were presented to those present. The Girls’ Auxiliary met Mon day night in the home of Mrs. Katie Hinton for a Christmas party. The W. M. S. met Friday night with Mrs. A. B. C. Johnson. Miss Joan O’Neal entertained her Sunday School Class Tuesday night. Miss Jean Barnes of Archer Lodge visited Miss Shelly Fowler last Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Felton Thompson and son of Norfolk, Va., visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus O’- Neal last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. JVilder, Jim my and Janie attended the funeral of Harry Buchanan, Jr., Monday morning at Durham. Selma High School defeated the Corinth High School girls’ basket ball team 54-37 last Wednesday night in the Selma gym. Shelly Fowler was high scorer for Cor inth with 21 points. The James Garners of Raleigh spent Sunday with the Leamon Hocutts and the Roy Drivers. Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Bass of Emit visited Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bunn Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Strickland and Ellen of Raleigh visited the Leonard Wilders Sunday p. m. Ernestine Cooke is recovering from a knee injury. Miss Linda Strickland spent Sunday with Miss Mary Frances Corbett. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boyette of Archer Lodge visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boyette Sunday p. m. Mr. J. D. Fowler of Long Beach, California, and Mr. Oscar Corbett of Zebulon visited the Thomas Fowlers Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Hocutt of Raleigh, Miss Gretchen Hocutt of Wendell, and Miss Katie Duke Ho cutt of Raleigh were Sunday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hocutt.
