The basketball team was defeat ed last Friday by the Selma girls’ team by a margin of three points. The game was played in the Wen dell gym. The score was 55-52. High scorer for Corinth was Shel bey Fowler with 23 points. Othell Hinton followed with 16 and Wil lie Mae Johnson with 13 points. The boys’ team was defeated by Selma by a score of 65-48 in the Wendell gym. High scorer for the Corinth boys was Charles Ray Hin ton with 19 points and Donald Boyette with 18 points. Miss Joan O’Neel was given a birthday party by her mother, Mrs. Erastus O’Neal last Monday night at their home. Refreshments were served to the 30 guests. Joan re ceived lot? of nice and useful gifts. Mr. E. B. Pulley of Zebulon spent part of last week with the Wilbur Pulleys. Mr. and Mrs. James Stevens of Raleigh visited Mr. and Mrs. Flon nie Strickland last week. Mrs. Ida Eason of Archer Lodge visited Misses May and Ethel Griswold last week.
