Four Deaths and Funerals Mrs. John Dunn Mrs. John Dunn of Rocky Mount, sister of Mrs. C. M. Hocutt of Zebulon, died Wednesday. Fun eral services will be held in Rocky Mount today. Arrangements were incomplete at press time. Mrs. Kathleen Taylor Mrs. Kathleen Wall Taylor of 202 W. Lane Street, wife of L. L. Taylor, died at Rex Hospital ear ly Tuesday morning after a two year illness. She is the daughter of Arthur Wall of Raleigh and the late Mrs. Rosa Hocutt Wall. Mrs. Taylor was born in the Corinth Section of Johnston County and had been living in Raleigh for the past 12 years. Surviving, in addition to her husband and father, are two sons, Billy Lee Taylor of Raleigh and N. A. (Dickie) Taylor of the U. S. Army, stationed at Camp Kilmer, N. J.; two brothers, Wilton Wall of Middlesex, Route 1, and Par nie Wall of Freehold, N. J.; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Bunn and Mrs. Wilbur Pulley, both of Zebu lon, Route 1; and a granddaugh ter. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Corinth Baptist Church. The Rev. A. D. Parrish, pastor of the church, officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery. • William I. Greene William Irvin Green, 86, died at his home on Wendell, Route 1, Monday morning. Funeral services were held at 3:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at Lee’s Chapel Church. The Rev. A. D. Parrish officiated. The body was taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. Green, both of Zebulon; and four step children, Mrs. Ray Nowell of Wendell, Al bert Driver of Wendell, Thurman Driver of Zebulon, Leon Driver of Durham. Mesdames R. M. Johnson' P. G. Pearce, Larby Perry and Hattie Stallings visited the Dolphus Amoses and the Delno Rays Mon day afternoon. Mr. Ben Perry and daughter, Anelia, were in Duke Hospital a few days last week. Several of our people attended the funeral of Mr. Berry Barham at Bethlehem Church last Satur dayy afternoon. The family has our sympathy. Mrs. Delno Ray returned Sunday with her infant son from Rex Hos pital. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lewis of Zebulon visited the Ben Perrys Sunday night. The Jesse Petersons and son of Raleigh spent Sunday with her parents, the H. K. Privettes. Mrs. R. M. Johnson, Mrs. P. G. Pearce, Mrs. Ivon Pearce and Lin da and Dona Fay Johnson attend ed the commencement at the Har ris School last Thursday night. Our visiting preacher last Sun day was Mr. Wheeler from Wake field. Mrs. C. L. Perry, Mrs. L. D. Perry and Mrs. Ben Perry spent last Friday with Mr. Ben Perry and Anelia at Duke Hospital. MVs. Otha Pearce and Mrs. J. M. Pearce visited their sister, Mrs. Albert Bunn, at Rex Hospital last week. Mrs. L. D. Perry and Mrs. Ivon Pearce visited the K. W. Bakers and the Ben Perrys Sunday p. m. The Thomas Timberlake farrtily attended the singing in Wilson last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bonnie Perry and son of Raleigh and the Nick Bur chette family of Auburn spent last Sunday with the K. W. Bakers. Mrs. Ernestine Wright of Dur ham spent Wednesday p. m. with her mother, Mrs. Adna Pearce. Rev. C. L. Thurman Ray of the Navy spent the weekend with his family. Little Danny Pearce of near Wakefield spent the weekend with his aunt, Miss Nina Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fuller of Corinth visited her sister, the Coley Privettes, Tuesday night. The Home Demonstration Club met Tuesday afternoon in the school room. Mrs. Paul Gupton was hostess. Mrs. Otha Upchurch gave the devotional and Mrs. ’ Peter Dean gave the program on “Insur ance.” There were 14 present. The hostess served sandwiches, cookies and cokes. Mrs. H. K. Privette and Mrs. R. M. Johnson will leave Wednes day for New York City for a cou ple of days. The Walter Smiths of Williams burg, Va., spent Sunday night with her mother, Mrs. Adna Pearce. Mr. and Mrs. Brodie Privette of Pilot visited the L. D. Pearces Wednesday morning. Little Deana and Connie May, daughters of Mrs. Delore May, had their tonsils removed at Rex Hos pital Monday. A Sunday School picnic supper will be at the church Saturday p. m. at 6:00 honoring Rev. and Mrs. C. L. Capps and Tim. Scientists at East Lansing, Mich., have produced chicks that are im mune to the viscera: form of lym phomatoste, or “big liver disease,” by innoculating the mother hen. Rosenburg News Mrs. Ernestine Marshall Mr. Joe Tippett suffered a heart attack Tuesday night and is in Rex Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Poole and Mr. and Mrs. Esten Jones of Ral eigh were Sunday guests of the Claude Bakers. Mickey Arnold and Billy Mar shall were Saturday night supper guests of his father, Emmett Mar shall, at Wake Forest. Mrs. Virginia Pearce is a pa tient in the Franklin Memorial Hospital at Louisburg. Sympathy goes to Mrs. Roger Bunn in the death of her mother, Mrs. John Turner. Mrs. W. O. Blackley visited her daughter, Mrs. Lindberg Ray Sat urday evening. Little Sandra Carter is spending several days with her grandpar ents, the Oma Hicks, at Wake For est. The Coleman and Harold Den tons visited their parents, the Bervon Dentons, Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Dolphus Amos an nounce the birth of a daughter, Emma Jean, May 19, at the Zebu lon Clinic. She was the former Jean Perry of Zebulon. The W. O. Blackleys and the Furnie Pearces visited their sister, Msr. J. C. Johnson at Spring Hope Sunday and saw the entire family baptized there in the First Baptist Church. Miss Tootie Oakley and her Sunday School Class spent the weekend at Morehead. They en joyed swimming and fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Stallings and Donna of Raleigh spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. W. A. Oakley. Mrs. Rethea Wright visited the Millard Rays Sunday. Malcolm Taylor of Bailey spent Monday night with Billy Marshall. Mrs. Kenneth Ward and Nancy of Wake Forest and Mrs. H. H. Wilder of Raleigh are spending this week with their father and brother, the Claud Bakers. Mickey Arnold joined the Air Force Tuesday. The Bill Griffin family of Kin ston were supper guests of the Wil son Gay Wednesday. Mrs. F. D. Gay and Mrs. Junius Allen visited Mr. Delton Amos in a Pittsboro hospital Wednesday. He has returned home now. Mr. and Mrs. George Pearce and children of Raleigh were supper guests of the Wilson Gays Monday. Mesdames Berdon Eddins, Jes mon Tippett, Carsey Tippett and Wallace Tippett gave Mrs. Rex Tippet a shower Saturday night in the home of Mrs. Eddins. Mrs. Donnie Hugh Baker and Susan of Fountain and Mrs. W. E. Pittman of Saratoga visited the Wilbur Gays Sunday. The Marshall Strickland family visited the Matthew Liles in Ral eigh. Sunday. The Eddie Medlins and children of Pearces and Stumpy Hicks of Norfolk, Va., visited their parents, the Otis Hicks during the weekend. Mrs. Marshall Strickland and children spent Tuesday with Mrs. Luther Liles and Mrs. Wallace Un derhill at Lizard Lick.
