Mrs. Charles Perry left Saturday, May 14, by plane to join her hus band, Sgt. Perry, who is stationed with the army in Germany. Mrs. Wayne Duke flew with Mrs. Perry to Paris, France, where she joined her husband, is also in the Army. M. G. (Sane) Perry left Satur day, May 21, by plane for work in Iceland. Mrs. M. G. Perry and Mrs. W. B. Carlyle left Monday for a two weeks’ vacation in Sykesville, Md., with relatives. Mr. Joe Tippett is ill in Rex Hospital following a heart attack. Mrs. Bernice Screws will spend from Friday until Monday in South Carolina with her sisters. Mr. and Mrs. John Mehegan and Simon Hodges of Raleigh vis ited the Ferd Davises Wednesday. Mrs. Dave Finch and Molly of Raleigh will spend this weekend in Zebulon with the Foster Finches while her husband is in New York. Mr. Owen Whitley of near Zebulon Society Seminary Student Speaks to Class Miss Margaret Hodge, student at Fort Worth Theological Semi nary in Texas and secretary for the Biblical Recorder, was speaker at the Zebulon Baptist Couples Class meeting held Tuesday night with Mrs. Willard Liles. In her talk, Miss Hodge related experiences she has had at the seminary. Previously she attended Carson-Newman Seminary in Ten nessee where she decided to be come a missionary. Herbert Holt, program chair man, used the word, “Faith,” for the devotional period. After the meeting delicious re freshments of homemade peach and vanilla ice cream and cake were served. Class Goes Fishing The Y. F. C. Class of the Zebu lon Baptist Sunday School went deep sea fishing in the Gulf Stream off Morehead City last weekend, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Shearon and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Perry. Mr. Shearon is class teacher and Mrs. Perry assistant. Mrs. Janice Denton Choir practice will be held each Thursday night before prayer meeting. Preaching services at 11:00 this Sunday morning. The car speeded past the bus without checking its speed for the stop sign, as the bus was unloading children. Mrs. Flora Gay visited her sick father, Mr. G. C. Fuller heard a squeak ing noise in his car on his way to Raleigh last Thursday. With a close search he found a very tiny baby bird resting lazily in a cor ner in the back of the car. Her home was beautifully decorated with arrangements of roses, spirea, and mixed spring flowers. Opon arrival guests were served a delicious dessert course. Following play high and low score prizes for club members were presented Mrs. H. C. Wade and Mrs. Russell Brantley. Mrs. Barrie Davis received guest prize.
