Four PLANS GIVEN (Continued from Page 1) committee suggested that if Wake lon School has a football game scheduled, the students would be invited to witness the contest. In such an event, it is planned to have half-time ceremonies in their honor. However, if no football game is scheduled, a big square dance will be held in the school gym and the public will be invited. It was also suggested in the committee report that a square dance be held fol lowing the game, even if one is played. At the dance, the students would be given an opportunity to dem onstrate some of their native folk dances. The program committee an nounced a tentative itenary which might be followed during the stu dents’ visit. Saturday morning would be spent visiting downtowr business places, recorder’s court the town hall, and various othei places. Saturday afternoon, the commit tee suggested that the students be shown a tobacco farm and, if pos sible, a tobacco market in Wen dell. In the evening, a chicken barbe cue is planned for the collegians possibly in the National Guard Armory. This will be followed by a panel discussion or talks by the foreign students, to which the public will be invited. The night will be concluded with an informal fellowship for the townspeople and students. Plans for Sunday morning call for the students to assume the teaching of the Sunday School classes, as well as conducting the 11:00 worship services in both the Baptist and Methodist churches in Zebulon. A farewell ceremony will be conducted Sunday afternoon around 3:30, after which, the stu dents will depart for Chapel Hill on busses provided by the univer sity. Another committee report, sub mitted by the housing and assign ment committee, recommended that only one student be assigned to each house, and further rec ommended that, as far as possible, students be put into homes with children. Mrs. M. J. Sexton and Mrs. Wil lie B. Hopkins are in charge of the housing committee, and later will be assigned an equal number of students for housing. Anyone in terested in volunteering to keep one of the students during their stay in Zebulon will be asked to contact the housing committee. This will be done probably in Sep tember.
