Chevrolet Company Has New Employee Mrs. Eloise T. Eddins accepted a position as assistant bookkeeper August 19 with J. M. Chevrolet Co. here. Mrs. Eddins is married to Berdon Eddins, and they are the parents of two children, An drea Lee, 15, and Robert Joe, 12. The family' resides on Route 3, Zebulon. Quick Kicks (Continued from Page 1) week to 55 and that this week the players will learn who will con stitute the traveling team. Only 35 persons will travel with the team on their “away” games and from this corner we wish Ellis King all the luck in the world. Dan Massey, an all-conference end of two years ago, is a sopho more at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Massey re ported for practice on Sunday and is expected to play a lot of ball for the Yellow Jackets. Ronnie Clark also reported Sun day to North Carolina State Col lege. Clark, recipient of a half scholarship, will be a member of the Wolf pack frosh squad and we predict will be a valuable addition to the team. Wakelon Boosters and all grid fans will be watching these boys at State, Randolph-Macon and Frederick. Open Date On October 6 About the only schools that have an open on October 6 in eastern Carolina (as we ascertain from the schedules submitted to the State papers) are Whiteville and Haw River. Haw River—a class A school— defeated 3-A Graham High last Friday night. The Whiteville school is also larger than Wake Ion but we’re wondering if either might be interested in a home game with the Bulldogs the first Friday night in October? Support Boosters’ Organization Joe Vinson, the new prexy of the Wakelon Boosters’, along with other officers and members are vigorously promoting the drive for memberships. Membership for a family is $5.00 and for an individ ual $2.50. Why not join the Boos ters’ Club and be a part of the corporate support and encourage ment for the Wakelon Athletic Program? Make It a Date Friday Night At Eight You’ll want to be on hand Friday evening at Benvenue for the Bull dogs’ first game. Why not take a carload over to Rocky Mount? Back the Bulldogs! Among the sick are Mrs. James Pearce and her daughter. Paul Batchelor is able to go back to work after a minor opera tion last week in Wendell-Zebulon Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Privette visited their baby daughter in Rex Hospital in Raleigh Monday. Weekend houseguests of Mrs. Bennie W. Lewis were Mr. and Mrs. John McGahay and daugh ter, Brenda McGahay of Richmond. Also Mrs. Bunion Batchelor of Middlesex.
