most per cent, strong, are meet
ing here today. The meeting began
at 10:30 o’clock this morning at the
court house, with Prof. J. B. Rob
ertson. superintendent of the county
schools, presiding.
Rev. L. A. Peeler will preach at

Trinity Reformed Church here to
morrow. He is pastor of St. John’s

kitchen orchestra, several readings,

the kite flying contest originally
scheduled for today for members of
“Our Sunday Gang'.’ has been post
poned* until Saturday of next week
Members of the organization are ex
pected to have their kites completed
by that time.
Police officers again this morning
stated they had nothing new to re
port. "We have been as diligent 'as
ever.” one of the officers stated, ’’but
we Have foynd no new eases. The
city has 'been on fine behavior for
tile past several weeks.” No ses
sion of the recorder’s eoilrt was held
Friday.
Rivers and creeks in the county
are said to be running much higher
than usual as a result of the snow
and min of the week. The snow
followed a rain tlmt fell for several
hours and then more rain fell Fri
day night, melting what snow escaped
the sun Thursday afternoon and Fri
day. There will be no scarcity of
water in the county for some time at
least.
