The order being the woman's aux
iliary of trie MasAnic bodies was
named the Wright G. Campbell chap
ter in honor of Rev. Wright G. Camp
bell. one of file leading spirits of
Masonry in Stokes lodge. It was
due to the, untiring efforts of Rev.
Mr. Campbell immediately after his
arrival in'Concord ip .188$ that Stokes
Bridge was revived and,put .on, a firm
his is which has made jt one of the'
most active lodgbs in' the states. ' Mr.
Campbell personally trained its mem
bers in the secret work and aroused
the lagging interest of the scattered
members of hi«\time. and from this
foundation Stokes Bodge is still build
ing a. better and stronger organiza
tion. The local lodge elected him to
its highest offices, and in recent years
they conferred the honor of a life
membership upon him, presenting
him with a gqldjifo membership card

ter of Mr. and Mrs. .1. W. O’Neal, of*
this city, and King C. Tolies, of Nor
walk, Conn., now a popular resident,

The nuptials, characterized by bril-!

the First. Presbyterian church, where
the bride’s pastor, Dr. F. W. Gregg,
officiated, assisted by Rev. Walter It.

Church, the pastor of the groom ami

friends.

return they will begin housekeeping
at once on Union avenue.
Miss O’Neal is well known in Con
cord, having visited Miss Margaret
Virginia Ervin on several occasions.

cream satin gown with gold and lace
trimmings. Mrs. Blackwelder was
beautiful in a gown of beige georg
ette with touehes of lace and rhine
stones. Miss Miller and Mrs. Black
welder both wore blonde slippers and
hose and carried lovely arm bouquets
of carnations.
Mrs. Blackwelder was followed by
Misses Louise Peck, Ellen Punch,
Kate Swing, sister of the groom, and
Jessie McCombs, of Kannapolis, who
were bridesmaids. Misses Peck and
Swing wore attractive pastel shaded j
dresses of green, while' Misses Pubch j
and McCombs wore dresses of deli
■ eately shaded pink. All four brides
-1 maids used blonde accessories aud
carried arm bouquets of pink and:
white carnations.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Crooks, was the'
dainty little ring bearer. She was
dressed in flesh-colored organdie trim
med with lace, and carried a large Id
ly in which rested tile ring.
The' bride entered on the arm of
her father. Mr. Sam Denny, who gave
her in marriage. They were mei at
the altar by the groom and his best
man. Mr. Everett Derniy, of W'n
ston-Salom, cousin of the bride. The
bride was unusually bioutiful in a
lovely gown of white satin and veil of
tulle. ’ caught with orange blossoms.
Her corsage was of bride's roses and
valley lilies.
The ushers included: John Flake
Melnnis, Roy Sapp, Tom and Guy
Johnson.
| The bride is the eldest daughter of
! Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Denny, of this
city. She js a very striking Ijrunette
of unusual beauty, with a winning
personality,'" and has been much ad
