Rowlett left early this morning for Blackstone, Va., being called there by t’lie death of the former’s father. Blanks at a few minutes before noon this morning when a pile of trash at the rear of the Y. M. C, A. caught on tire. For a moment it looked as though the flames would catch the covering of the swimming pool, but efficient 'work by the fire department quickly put out the fire before could do damage.
