Miss Margaret Gravbeal has re turned to Winston-Salem, where she is enrolled in Draughon’s Business college, after spending the week end with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Graybeal. Billy Wade Sheets left Tues day to enter Draughon's Business colege in Winston-Salem, N. C. Misses June Stringer and Deane Graybeal visited Mrs. Fred C Graybeal. Sunday. Among those attending the Carolina-Georgia game at Chapel Hill last week end were Amus Wagoner, Jr., A. B. Gray heal, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Austin, Miss Jen nie C. Worth, Dr. and Mrs. J. The ser vices are being held each night at 7:20. conducted by the pastor, Rev E. W. Powers assisted by other Baptist pastors. Rev Jesse Barlow, of Radford, Va., is director of the music. Mrs. McMillan Is Hostess To WSCS I _ The Woman’s Society of Christ ian Service, of Grassy Creek church, met in the home of Mrs. A. H. McMillan Saturday even ing, with a large number attend ing. Two visitors. Mrs. F. C. Nye and Mrs. Robert M. Gambill, were also present. Mrs. Paul Graybeal was in charge of the program on “The Child and His Education.’’ An interesting talk on "Christian Education" was given by Rev. W. C. Eastridge. During the social hour, deli cious refreshments were served to the group by the hostess, as sisted by her sister, Mrs. Gam bill. Mrs. B. E. Sturgill will be host j ess to the group in October. During the business session, a report on the teen-age program was given by Mrs. Ilarvey Pay ' ne. chairman. Several things were ■ purchased from the proceeds of 1 the teen-age program.
