Mrs. Arthur Frazier was host
ess to the West Jefferson Wo
man’s Club at her home here on
Monrlay evening when in addi
tion to the members, a number
of visitors were present.
Miss Ella Mae Crosby, home
agent and club chairman of
Youth Conservation, was in
charge of the pi ugram. She .gave
an informative talk on the im
portance of the right start and'
right guidance of youth. She
then told of the 4-H Club camps
throughout North Carolina and
the benefits children receive
from them.
Mrs. Gale McMillan, president,
; was in charge of the business
I session when a number of mat
ters were discussed. The Club is
again sponsoring the annual
Cancer Control Fund Drive. The
group voted to again sponsor
the attendance of the county 4-H
j health queen and king at the
short course.
Plans for attending the Slate
convention were also discussed.
At the close of the meeting
the hostesses served two courses
of del it ions refreshments carry
ing out the Easter motif.
Visitors included Mrs. Harold
Miller. Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs.
W. G. Vannov.
