cake Deluxe
1 1-2 cups sifted fiour
1-2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1- 2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2- 3 to 3-4 cup milk
1-4 cup shortening
1 pint selected strawberries,
sweetened I
Whipped cream.
Sift together flour, sugar, bnk
ing powder and salt. Add egg,
milk and shortening. Mix until,
batter is smooth (1 mmute).j
Pour into greased 8-inch layer
pan. Bake in a moderately hot
ovsfn (40Q’F) for 25 minutes.
Cut into pie - shaped wedges.'
Split into layers. Spread bottom
layer lightly with butter. Cover
with sweetened berries and re.
place top. Cover with more ber.
