The attitude of Garranzacdmi
struetioBWrom Generaf Carfanza
indicates what the real feeling to
ward the continuance of American
troops in Mexico is. General Persh
inir has called the bluff of General
Trevino, who served notice that
should the American troops in
Mexico move in any direction oth
er than toward the American bor
der, I. e would attack them, b.y5
notifying the Carranza general
that his threat would not4iave the

American troops in-Mexico.- Gen
eral Pershing has tightened up his
ine of communication and made
every preparation not only to re
pel an attack, but for an aggres
sive campaign.
War Vessels to Mexican Waters
rRimnltaneouslv with the call for

Daniels ordered additional war
ships to Mexican waters. He has
instructed Admiral Winslow, ' on

every port to take care of Ameri

has been notified to the same ef
