Army, seeing service in the London
and other big British hospitals. He

vice in the base hospital In the war
zone. He was commissioned captain
while overseas. His main work w*
In the rehabilitation of Injured sol
diers. and he received a degree lor
his proficiency in orthopedics.
At the close of the war Dr. wil
kerson returned' to Raleigh in 1919
and limited his practice to surgery,
making "a cllstlnct success "He was
a man of prominence among the
surgeons and physicians of the city,
serving as president of "the Wake
County Me'dical Association the past
