they are. They have the reputation of
doing the lif&st unexpected things at
the most unexpected times.
The game is played with a soft, in
door baseball and under regulation
rules with a few exceptions. The great
est exceptions are that the fielders and
the base runners must stay with their
donkies. After the batter has hit the
ball, he must then mount his donkey
and try to get to first base.
The rub comes when the fielders
must attempt to get the ball while
1 still mounted on their donkies. It is
said that the donkies run so fast and
hard in their efforts to get safe and
go to sleep that sometimes they pass
? out far into "no man's land," leaving
i the runner stranded with no trans
: portation and plenty of places to go.
Bethel Hill Defeats

inning and scored five runs. The Bethel
Hill team fielded well and pulled two
fast doubles. Pentecost and D. Jones
led the Hilltoppers' attack with two
hits each. Jones also caught a good
game. A . Gentry also pitched a good
game for Allensville but at times re
ceived poor support.
On Wednesday May 1, Bethel Hill
