Etr sens UTHVLRM 01 cram w .ertyftrrlers fahfitf sd by this offl FRIDAY, APRIL 25. 9i3 thize with Mr. Josephu Daniels on account of the burning of the magnificient p'ant of the Xews and Observer yesterday. It was one of the best newspaper plants in the. entire south and the loss is very heavy. We are confident that a building even more magni ficient that the one destroyed will soon rise out of the ashes. Everyone, especially newspaper men, will appreciate the dimcul ty under which the paper will have to be issued now. It has 12,000 subscribers and even with a plant erected for the purpose the work is strenuous to get out such a paper and meet the mails Mr. Daniels and his force how ever will meet the emergency. THE FURNITURE EXPOSI TION S. C. Clark and the committee are enthused over the prospects for the furniture exposition in June. Mr. Clark tells the Knter prise that he is having line suc cess securing exhibitors among the factories while the committee is busy giving the show wide publicity. It will be a big event for the manufacturers, the state and the buyers. o THE REUNION Chattanooga, Tenn.. April jy The arrangements for the en tertainment of the Confederate reunion. PERSONAL The following announcement has been received by friends here: Dr. and Mrs. Crawford C. Wilson announce the marriage of their daughter, Martha Louise, to Mr. Sam Nash Clark, on Wed nesday the twenty-third of. April, nineteen hundred and thirteen, Valdosta, Georgia. At home after the first of May. Tarboro, North Carolina. 0 AN OBJECT LESSON The large plant of the News and Observer at Raleigh was de stroyed by fire last night. Noth ing could be saved on account of broken water main and the busi ness portion of town threatened. If Raleigh had had the reserve for which High Point is prepar ing on the bond issue thousands of dollars could have been saved. If we don't guard against such things by a storage reservoir some day High Point will suffer a calamity from which she can not recover. WILL ENTERTAIN VISIT ING BOYS.
