In this game the University team lined up for the first time intact, though Merritt rand Murphy were both crippled, yet they played tho game through. Too much praise cannot be given to Rankin, Kenan, Whedbee and "Kirk" for the way they played. Everybody played good fair ball and played together. The whole team is to be congratu lated on its work. A-& M. then starts V center of field, and by hard rushing advanced the ball to within six inches of Carolina's goal, and here the 'Varsity boys make a beautiful brace and take the ball in four downs. Webb passes ball to full back for a kick out of danger but Vick blocks the ball and Pritchard falls on it behind the line scoring a touch down. Hughs fails to kick goal. Score G 4. Neithar side scored again during the first half. The only thing worthy of mention was a beau tiful tackle by McRae. SECOND HALF. Toward beginning of this half, McKinn e is hurt, Weaver takes his place. Now De:ison and Weaver run together, and Weaver retires in favor of Falls. A. & M. advances ball up the field and a succession of kicks by Hughs and fumble3 and muffs by Webb F. B. Near the last of this half and with only about a yard between A. & M. and a touch down, the 'Varsity boys take the ball again, and Webb bucks the cen ter for 12 yards, but loses the ball and Whitaker scores touch down for A. & M. The total registration at Le land Stanford to date is 887. A Medical school is soon to be established at Priceton. The week of Prayer for colleg ges will begin on November 10. The University of Chicago has adopted the golden-rod as its flower. At the University'of Chicago absences are not reported until the end of the year. Anyone having over thirty is required to take one extra study for the next year. The first woman in the world to receive the degree of Electri cal Engineer is Miss Bertha La meteur, of Springfield, Ohio. She is a graduate of the Ohio State University, where she led her class throughout the entire ourse. Union College claims the proud distinction of being the mother of American college fraternities. Six of the leading fraternities were founded there, the oldest being the Northern order of K A., in 1825. The Faculty of Rutger's have ordered the football team to cancel all its engagements, as only two members jave obtain ed a satisfactory grade in their classes. The most unique bequest Yale has ever received has just been recorded by the will of Minot Booth, an eccentric citizen of Monroe, Conn. It consists of several large quarries which, though of great practical value for building purposes, Mr. Booth has bequeathed for geological pui popes, having always believ ed they -would be invaluable for scientific research.
