He talks of things he doesn't know, And surely he's been "left." Poor little fellow.he says women are fickle, He's surely been in some sort of a pickle At some time not very far back in life. He must have tried to get him a wife. And surely he got "left." It seems he's a hater of all the sex, Thinks his little satire the women will vex; He'd better start in and try some more. We wish better luck this time than before, For surely he's been "left." ANOTHER ONE. Three companions were seated one day Out in front of a Parisian Cafe, An Englishman, Frenchman, and "a broth of a boy." Conversation lagged, and they resolved to employ Part of their time in telling lies. They called on John Bull, and thus he replies, "Hoften hin Henglish society h'ive been took For the Prince of Wales hor else a dook." The Frenchman, "Sacre-blue and von fine day Ven down the Boulevard I took my way, The people look 'round and some oue say, Dere goes Prince Napoleon or Marechal Ney." The little Irishman spoke as he sat, "Say, yez fellers talk through yer hat Faith and thot's just nothing at all To an expayrience that Oi recall Oi kitn home wan night as drunk as a lord; Faith, yez kin bet Oi said niver a worrud, But Biddy, my woife, she's a voice like a burrd, Stuck her head out the windy, and this what Oi heard, " O, Jasus Christ, is that you." THE REASON. I felt quite sad the other day, e day before the rain, now and then o'er my mind would fly sense of coining pain. xiie reason. I guesst you'll understand, I think I'll make it plain , You know how a little corn will hurt Like the devil before a rain. DU HAST DIAMANTEN UND PERLEN. My love, thou hast diamonds and pearls, Thou hast all that mortals adore, Thine eyes are as stars in heaven above Sweetheart, what would'st thou more? And to those beautiful eyes of thine Eternal faith I swore. My songs to them I dedicate My love, what would'st thou more? And with those beautiful eyes, my love, Thou hast wounded me so sore, Thou hast completely me undone My love, what would'st thou more? ' Translated. Popping the question is all very well, As a rule an agreeable task; But when you are forced iuto question ing Pop . You don't always get what you ask. Harvard Lampoon.
