Then its ardor for the game waved, and now its attitude is one of open hos tility. It doesn't require a histo riau to know the college to which we refer. We find the following unusual in telligence in the U. of Pa Courier. A rule against the use oi tobacco is to be enforced this year against the 800 students in the Ohio Wes leyan University. President Bash ford, at the end of the scholastic year last May, gave notice that, as soon as the Fall term opened, the University would dissolve part nership with every student who used tobacco in any form. This ac tion was taken with the view to ex pelling the tobacco habit from the Methodist ministry of the country, and is likely to be the forerunner of similar action in other denomina tions. So far there has not been any resistence to the rule. No other University seems ready to follow the example of the Ohio University; nor are the larger Eastern Univer sities at least likely to, as such a rule would result in the expulsion of a great many, in fact, the major ity of the students. In clipping: the hair with scis sors, this hollow is left open, and the hair loses its life-giving properties. I have a Machine named the Singeing Ma chine, which removes the hair and at the same time closes up the hollow, causing the hair to retain its life-giving properties, and therefore stopping the hair from falling out or dying, and giving it a soft growth. Call and examine this machine and have your hair singed. Special attention given to dressing La dies' hair.
