There has been much trouble jaused of late, from the failure of fur water supply. The well used ft present does not afford a suffici ent supply for all purposes in con- fequence of which the bath rooms pave been closed for several davs., We are glad to learn that new ampins' machinery has been order- , . j d which in a few days will be put the well in front of the New -East Building. This, together with "e oue now in use will doubtless urnish an ample supply of water 0r all purposes. The football men are especially en thusiastic over their hospitable treat ment at Sewanee. The team was most royally entertained by Miss Lily Green a daughter of the late Bishop Green, and a former resident of Chapel Hill. It has been suggested that the sub stantial appreciation shown for the ) elegant dinner in a measure accounted for the result of the game. Be that as it may, the Carolina team is sure of one thing and that is the Purple was a good prophet when she prophised a "hearty welcome" for us at Sewanee. VV. L TANISERSLEY, Heller Brother's Fine Shoes, Olives, Potted Meats, and Fine Cakes and Crackers. Oh Fresh. You would think from his talks, And the way that he walks, And the glance from his eye that's fine, And the look on his face That he owns the place But he don't. He is just '99.'. U. of Pa. Courier. In Georgia. There is a football team somewhere in Georgia. And it has quite a "rep" down there in Georgia. They made a date to play our boys, And at the thought they all rejoiced And yelled and raised an awful noise in Georgia. Full merrily they played away in Georgia. And blew their own horn night and day in Georgie. ' They thought they knew a thing or two, And sang long songs of what they'd do, And how they'd clean up N. C. U, in Georgia. But that rejoicing was too soon in Georgia. They're singing now a different tune in Georgia. For twice we beat their team so tough, Old Carolina is the stuff, And everyone has had enough t in Georgia.
