Lehigh Beaten by a Score of 7 to 4.
The game began, with Lehigh at
the bat. Carman struck out, but
reached first on a passed ball by
isailey. Jxeed sroes out on a fly to
Winston. Petrican's high fly caught
by Gregory and Senior puts Lehigh
in the field by a similar hit to Gra
ham. Stanly opens up for the Varsity
by a two bagger to left. Winston's
hot grounder is fumbled by Petri
can and Stanly scores, while Win
ston is safe at first. Gregory's
grounder to short is nicely handled
by Grace E. who throws out Win
ston at second and Petrican stops
Gregory at first, making a beauti
ful double. Stephens' grounder is
fumbled by Senior, picked up by
grace E. and wildly xhrown to first,
allowing Stephens to gain first in
safety; the ball is there secured by
Gannon who throws ,wildly home
and in th; melee Stephens and Bai
ley cross the plate. Whitaker
gets to first on Grace E's. wild
throw, attempts to steal second but
is thrown out by Grace W. :
Second inning: Grace E. gets to
first on four balls and steals second
where he remains until the side .is
retired. Grace W.was thrown out
by Gregory to Winston. Chasmer
fails to connect with the ball and
Gregory pulls down Snyder's high
fly. . -
Johnson gets to first on Snyder's
wild throw. Graham gets a nice
hit, advancing Jonson to third.
Pearsall fails to find the ball and

Third inning: Gannon flies out to
center. Carman is out by a fly to
Gregory. Reed's fly to Stephens
is fumbled and he reaches first.
Petrican hits to right, advancing
Reed to second. Sen ios's grounder
is nicely hand led by Winston.
Gregory flies out to center. Bai
ley 'finds no ball. Stephens hits
through first for two base and gains
third on a wild throw and scores
on Whitaker's hit to left. Johnson's
pop-fly is caught by Grace E. at
short. " .
Fourth inning: Grace E. hits
to Johnson, and Grace W. is out
from Stanly to Winston. Chas
mar gets his base on balls but is out
trying to steal second.
Graham gets to first on his second
hit. Pearsall hits to pitcher who
throws out Graham at second, . al
lowing Pearsall first. Stanly, hits
a two-bagger over left and Pearsall
scores. Winston gets first on four
balls. Gregory is retired by a. hit
to short. Bailey gets first on balls
and Stanly is advanced to third,
Winston to second. Stephens spoils
a good thing , by a fly to Petrican.
Fifth inning, Snyder is out on
three strikes. Gannon gets first
on four balls but is caught off by
Pearsall. Carman hits to right
but is out from Graham to Winston.
Whitaker gains first on a fum
ble by third. Johnson drives a fly
to center and retires. Graham gets
his third hit, gaining first and ad
vancing Whitaker to second. Pear
sall gets his base on balls which ad-;
vances Whitaker to third and Gra-,
ham to second. Whitaker is caught 1
on balls puts Graham on third. but
for the second time during the game
the side is retired with the bases
full, by a pop- fly from Winston to
center. ; 1
Sixth inning: Reed gains first on
a fumble by Gregory. Petrican
hits a fly to Gregory who again
fumbles and is advanced to second,
scoring on a wild throw. Senior is
out by a fly to Gregory, but Stanly
allows Petrican to score by fum
bling Grace E's fly, and he gains
second and third on a wild throw.
Chasmar is out by a hit to Pear
sall but Grace scores on an error by
Stanly. Snyder's sacrifice hit is out
by Pearsall and Gannon retires the
side by a hit to Winston.
Gregory hits a fly, caught by
center. Bailey makes first on a
hit which is fumbled by short. Ste
phens' fly is caught by right, who
finds Bailey off base at first.
Seventh inning". Carman hits
safely to center and steals second.ad
vances to third on Petrican's bunt.
Senior hits to pitcher, gains first
on fielder's choice, Carman out at
third. Grace E retires the side by
pop-fly to Winston. '
Whitaker is out by a hit to Pet
rican, and Johnson's foul is caught
by Carman. Graham hits safely
for first and steals second but Pear
sail's fly to short stops him.
Eig-hth inning: Hill takes the box.
Grace E. is out by Stanly and
Chasmar s fly is out by Whitaker.
Snyder gains first on a hit to
Johnson and steals second. Gan
non's fly is fumbled by Stephens in
left, and Snyder scores. Gannon is
out attempting to steal second.
Stanly hits to third and gains
first on a fumble. Winston hits
safely for first advancing Stanly to
second. Gregory flies out to- Petri
can and Stanly scores on a passed
ball. Bailey is out to second by
Petrican. Winston scores on first's
fumble of Stephen's grounder hit;he
closes the game for the Varsity by
trying to steal second.
Ninth inning: Reed gets his base
on balls. fetnean s high fly to
left is caught by Stephens. Whit
akes makes the star play of the
game by catching Senior's low fly
and doubling on Reed at second.
