The paper of the eve ning was presented by Mr. Moore. He claimed that the ' origin of knowledge is not a problem for Psychologists, that the question is how to recognize the relation ex isting between man and knowledge, that feeling is the potent element in inging about this recognition. It has in it the form of knowl edge also is the basis of interest in the acquisition of knowledge of the world. Many attacks were made on this novel position of the origin of knowledge but all thrusts were parried and the position remained impregnable. Some new members were received. At the May meeting 4 'The Indi vidual in the State-World and in the Moral-World will be presented by Messrs. Eller and Alsbrook. Univ. of Ga. held her field day on April 8th. Four college records were made. Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia will each hold an inter- sholastic championship tennis tour nament on May 2nd. Cornell's base ball team for this year will be almost entirely new material, since only three of last years team are available, ine two star pitchers, Priest and Smith are under the ban because of their having played ou summer nines. The end of the foot ball session at the University of Minnesota left a cash balance of $4000. Harvard and Princeton will hold an iuter-collegiate shooting match in he near future. , England has 94 universities and America 300, yet there are 2728 more professors iu the former than n the latter. An attempt is being made to form a basket ball league, including Priuj ceton, Yale, Trinity and Wesleyan. The Dean of the.
