A Wonerful Invention Zoology teaches that the hairs of the head are hollow, and contain an oil that gives them life. In clipping the hair with scis sors, this hollow is left open, and the hair loses its life-giving properties. I have a Machine namedthe Singeing Ma chine, which removes the hair and at the same time closes up the hallow, causing the hair to retain its me-gmng properties, ana therefore stopping the hair from falling out nr 1vior and irivinfr it a soft trrowth. The Bath Rooms. Our lavatory arrangements have been inactive so long that we really fear their rusting away and getting beyond all future use. The works are very good indeed, and are valu able to the University i n a way that nothing else to which she claims possession can be; but being made of rustable materials it is a ques tion whether this process of des truction " will not work its way be fore the ordioary channels of wear and tear get a fair chance. - We are aware of the fact that the water supply is limited, owing to the great number ot uses to which it is put, and this alone forms a ba sis lor the inactivity of the bath; but would it not be a good idea, at least once a week, to give this insti tution an opportunity to save itself from falling to pieces and necessi tating a renewal of fixtures at some future date? It seems that sacrifices in other places might be made in such a way as to bring this about, and should the proper authorities see fit to con sider this matter, the athletic mem bers of the University and the stu dents generally would be greatl' benefited and accommodated. We hope that this will be one of the first things to receive the atten tiou of those who have already add ed so much to the University. . 1 B. L. Caps and Gowns. The B. L. Law Class on Wednesday held a meeting and decided on the style cap and gown they will wear at Commencement. They adopt the same style cap and gown, as those to be worn by the bemprs, excepting the cap tassel which is to be made up in the .Law colors. T. J. LAMBE, THE ClfOTHIEK, HATTER, AND GENT'S.
