We welcome him back as he will be quite an addition to the team. - Quite a crowd was over from Trinity College, Saturday to see the Carolina-Guilford game. Long & Bro. Postpoumetit of October Dance. In our last issue of the Tar Heel it was said that our annual October dance would be given on Friday night, October the 14th. Owing to the opening of the Capital Club that night, it was found that the Raleigh band could not be obtained. Consequently the date has been changed to one week later, the 24th. A large crowd of young ladies have promised to be present and an en joyable dance may be expected. Soph-Class Officers. The Senior Class had a meeting in the Chapel last Thursday after noon for the purpose of electing offi cers for the year. Mr. T. C. Bowie in a speech of some length and eloquence put in nomination for President Mr. Julian S. Carr. Jr., who was unanimously elected. The others elected were Vice-President, J. S. Crawford; Secretary and Treasurer, W. M. Wagstaff; Orator, T. C. Bowie; Statistician, W. E. Cox ; Prophet, H. B. Holmes; Historian, J. E. Latta; Captain Foot-Ball Team, R. A. Winston; Manager Foot-Ball Team. J. R. Carr. Mr. T. C. Bowie, as in duty bound as Orator of the class enter tained the meeting for a few min utes with an oration full of elo quence and power.
