Itjis very gratifying" to note tha
along with the steady growth and
general progress of the University
as a whole several of the various de
partments have been receiving- spe
cial attention in the way of improve
ments. The work in the school of phar
macy has received a new impetus.
Under the direction of Prof. Howell
a store room with all the equipment
necessary for pharmaceutical work
has been fitted up. New desks and
drawers with apparatus have been
placed for each individual student
thus adding to the ease and facility!
of doing work. -
An ample supply of water is ob
tained through pipes. Electric
lights and gas jets are in use.
A new Materia Medica room has
been handsomely fitted up with a
complete set of all official drugs.
There are 7 first year and 11 sec
ond vear students in the school of
pharmacy, showing an increase over
last year's number.
All 2nd year men are doing- indi
vidual work on their theses.
