'95, and Law ', has associated himself for the .practice of his profession under the firm name of Rountree and Carr at Wilmington, N. C. Frank Miller. ex-'98, who left college last fall' to accept a tempor ry position .as chemist to a large electro-aluminum plant situated near Lynchburg, Va., has returned . to continue his studies in Chemistry. The sad news reached the Hill Mon day evening of the sudden death at his home in Goldsboro of Claude Ken nedy, who entered with the class of '02 hut who did not return after Christmas. Although here but such , a short time, Claude had made a great many friends who sincerely mourn his untimely death. Mr. J. L. Ludlow, a hydraulic en gineer who lives at Winston, was here Tuesday for the purpose of advising with the management of the Umver srty in regard to the construction of the new system of water-works soon to be established. Work on the system will be begun early in the summer in order that it may be completed before the ooeninjr of our next session in September. The friends of Rev. J. S. Thomas', '93, will be interested to know that he Has recently accepted a call to minis terial duties in connection with St. Andrew's Presbyterian church, Wil- iiall next r.a.:y evening at 7 :3u o'clock.
